| Personal History | Born in 2368 to William and Eileen McTavish in Inverness, Scotland on the planet Earth. William was a Science teacher at the University and Eileen was tasked with being a homemaker for the family. James was fascinated by science at an early age, the “apple didn’t fall far from the tree”, and at age ten his Father bought him his first microscope which opened up a whole new world. John McTavish was born into the family in 2375 and was an annoyance to his brother from the start. James’ love for science would propel him right into Star Fleet Academy where he excelled in anything that had to do with science. He graduated at the top of his class. Granted a Fellowship from the Science Academy and embarked on a course of study in the Space Sciences in 2395 which he completed in 2397. This certified him as a "Fellow of Space Sciences" which entitled him to have F.S.S. after his name if he so chose. Married Heather O’Riley in 2398 aboard the USS Dunkirk and later renewed their vows in Inverness, Scotland, planet Earth for family and friends to see. |
