| General Overview | Sean is shown to be by turns understanding, kind, funny, mischievous, and, in contrast to those around him, a little immature. Sean is an avid fan of classic rock music. He is known to use crude humor, and make sexual innuendos. His sense of morality has turned to the extreme, differing greatly from what most would consider acceptable ideals of good and bad. He firmly believes that the wicked deserve to be punished and stopped permanently and that their deaths - no matter how brutal and even illegal are needed as they better the world. When dealing with enemies, he becomes an extremist. He is brutal, cold, and efficient. He uses extreme tactics such as torture, brutality and eventually kills them. He firmly believes that the truly evil deserve no mercy, and as such he holds no regret in the deaths of any enemies he kills. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Sean is typically ruthless and aggressive when he is on duty as a marine, a task which he approaches enthusiastically, making him the more merciless of the Marine Medics. But in spite of that, he is capable of acknowledging whenever he's going too far. Sean mostly sees the world as black and white and is prepared to kill without question more often than not, unlike other medics. Sean is very laid-back and well-disposed when not on duty, and he values the safety of his friends, family and innocent civilians above all else, even his own life. Though on occasion he can be somewhat impulsive as well as arrogant, Sean is both extremely intelligent and competent. He is more likely to exhibit irrational behavior when those he cares about are threatened. Underneath his seeming arrogance and self-righteousness, Sean shows many signs of self-loathing and insecurity. He always blames himself when things go seriously wrong, regardless of whether he's to blame or not. He constantly downplays himself and his achievements. He puts up with abuse from others, simply because he believes he deserves it. Despite being a field corpsman/medic, Sean admits he doesn't see himself as anything other than a "grunt". Likewise he constantly is willing to throw his life away, at least in part because he doesn't value it as worth much. Sean enjoys the uncomplicated things in life, such as good food and entertainment. He almost constantly displays some level of humorous behavior, and frequently makes light of tense situations. He sometimes appears foolish due to this habit, but this seems to be merely his means of dealing with the stress of his profession. Sean shows on multiple occasions a soft spot for children. He is very good with them, able to talk to them with ease, and he is always very sympathetic. |
| Personal History | 17: Attended private university for nursing. 20: Graduated nursing school but then decided to take a detour in life and enlisted in the Starfleet Marines. They tried to hand him officer and stick him in some facility somewhere, and Sean said no. He wanted to be a field medic so he could travel to various worlds and around the galaxy. He was given the rank of corporal. 23: After a few years in hostile environments, and proving himself during a rather touchy pirate takedown, Sean C. Silk was told he had to take the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, or remove his ass from the marines. Having fallen in love with the marine way of life there was no way he was going to back out now. 33: A decade of service and CWO Silk is still a gung-ho, die-hard marine, having served with marine special operations for the past 4 years. The rank of 2nd LT. was offered and this time he took it. Time to kick back a smidge and enjoy the fruits of his labor. The labor that had come at the cost of his blood, sweat, and frustration. |
