Getting Settled In – Podcast 002 Palal System

After a final glance at the Arboretum for now Jennifer finally got a break. She ate with her Dad and then rested up for a few hours in her new quarters. Then Jennifer went to the Runabout to retrieve her first Podcast and her belongings. She figured that her Dad wouldn’t let anyone else aboard their Runabout without permission. One of the items waiting for her in her quarters was her new uniform. After a quick shower she put on her first official Starfleet Uniform. Jennifer then turned on the computer, added her first Podcast to it and then switched over to record audio and visual for the second Podcast.
Podcast 002 Palal System
Hello everyone, Jennifer Smithers here on the USS Amandora finally here after a long trip from Earth. Getting up and spinning around excitedly Jennifer said check out my first official Starfleet Uniform. I just put it on a few minutes ago and it’s in Blue because I’m part of the Science team now. Mom, my dream is starting to come true.
Sitting back down Jennifer continued. I have met a lot of people already and Uncle Grainger is on Amandora’s first away team. The Away Team is on one of the planets in the Palal system. I don’t know how that’s going yet. I hope he behaves. I already met Commodore Song with Dad and Uncle Grainger we had a long talk with her and everything went fine except for Dad goofing up our Transfer Orders. I was trying not to laugh. The Commodore gave me the go ahead to start moving plants to the Arboretum and to give her plans on what I’m going to do. I found out that the Commodore has a special interest in my project.
Then the three of us went for our Physicals. That was an adventure in itself. I got in trouble by activating the Sickbays EMH. Dad then had to deal with it and couldn’t shut it back down. I know he was upset with me. That’s how we met Dr Long, the ships Chief Medical Officer”, she turned it off. Then Uncle Grainger got the Doctor upset with being anxious about going on the Away Team. After Dad settled things down, we found out that our physicals went fine except maybe Dad being a little overweight. I hear Mom laughing about that. While we were at the doctor’s office a cute little girl ran in and jumped into the doctor’s lap. Her name was Amber, and she is a member of the doctor’s family. Then when asked the little one said she was 5 years old.
I will let everyone know how the Arboretum Project is going. Suddenly there was a chime at the door. Without thinking Jennifer said Come. Smithers came in all dressed up in his uniform. He was a little surprised by the live feed. Jennifer laughed and said come here so everyone can see you. Jennifer then said in case you forgot what he looks like here is my Dad.
Smithers then said, “Jennifer do you want to go to the Bridge and get some real work done?” Before turning off the Podcast Jennifer said, “Come on Dad already?”
