Commander O'Connell was feeling a lot less stressed since he found out a new Chief Engineer was coming aboard. As much as Jamie liked Engineering, it was his first position in Star Fleet, with his other duties it was stretching him to the limit both on duty and off.

Walking into the Security Area O'Connell looked around for Maria; she was over by the weapons locker as he proceeded to go over to her "Morning SanChez, how's it going" he queried with a smile.

"Good Chief, Just checking out some of these weapons" Maria replied "You seem awful chipper this morning Chief...what gives."

O'Connell had a big 'ol smile on his face "Well we have a new Chief Engineer aboard which means I guess your stuck with me" he replied with a grin.

"Shit!!!! That's great news Chief now maybe I can relax a little bit" she answered with a grin of her own.

"I'm still Second Officer so I'm sure the Commodore will find other things for me to do from time to time" he explained.

"Ya that's fine but things will still be a lot easier around here with you back in the saddle again; sorta speak" she replied.

"Yes I'm hoping it'll make everyone's life a little easier. So where are you at with the reports" Jamie asked.

"There're all up to date Chief and there are copies on your Computer if you care to take a look" Maria explained.

"I'll have a look over the next couple of days; after reading all those logs on the Ohio needless to say I'm in no big hurry sit back down and go over reports" he stated with a chuckle.

Maria smiled "Don't know as I blame you Chief" she commented then made an announcement "Hey everybody the Chief is back with us now."

To Jamie's delight he received a nice round of applause from his Staff "Thanks everyone it's good to be back; or at least when I can be with my other duties of course" he commented with a smile.

"Ok, you clowns you've had an extra five minute break; back to work" she stated Maria just being Maria, then she looked at Jamie "It really is great to have you back Chief and by the way the new duty rotation is posted in your Office."

"Thanks Maria, it's good to be back and yes I better have a look at the shift rotations" he commented as he turned to head to his Office.
