Mission: Character Developent
Location: Raymond quarters

{ON}

Amethyst smiled as she looked over her son’s shoulder, with Christina resting after her recent injuries and Amethyst instructed to remain in the safety of their quarters, unless accompanied by a member of security, Kal was doing his school work from home. Baby Flora was sleeping after having been fed and it gave Amethyst precious time with her son. “That’s very good” she smiled at Kal.

“It’s a story for Christina” Kal smiled proudly. “Can I make a card?”

“A card, of course you can!” Amethyst nodded. “We’ll visit later if it’s okay with Christina and security.”

“Why do we need a man with us mummy?” Kal looked at his mother curiously.

“The Captain and your father just want to make sure we’re not alone for now.” Amethyst smiled and motioned to his story. “Don’t worry, finish your story. I’ll talk with daddy about it when he comes home for lunch, actually ...” she tapped her comm badge. “Raymond to Commodore Song, can I see you in my quarters please?”

Cyndi tapped her com-badge "On my way," she opted not to change into her uniform, picking up a afghan she'd finished and placed it in a gift bag and for Kal a small and very safe science project. That too was placed in a gift bag. Dressed in a light green dress headed for the Raymond's quarters. Palming the door sensor Cyndi waited for permission to enter. The armed guard nodding to her when she arrived.

Answering the door Amethyst smiled warmly as she stepped aside to let Cyndi in. “Thank you for coming Commodore.” She motioned Cyndi towards the seats. “Please make yourself at home, can I get you anything?”

"This is for the baby, I knitted it and I'm sorry it's late but the demands of command keep my free time limited," Cyndi said handing her the gift bag "Kal I didn't forget you either, I have something for you too."

Amethyst smiled warmly. “Thank you Cyndi!” She watched as Kal jumped up to see what was for him. Taking the science set his eyes lit up at the thought of doing experiments.

“Thank you!” He grinned and took the set back to the table to get on with his story for Christina.

“I was wondering” Amethyst looked at Cyndi. “Is the security detail still necessary? It’s starting to worry Kal.”

"I don't believe it is, I'll speak with Major Hurd as well," Cyndi replied "That science kit is safe, its no danger to anyone especially him."

Amethyst nodded. “Thank you. I appreciate everything you’ve done for us, I wish I could have done something to help Kordell. His Klingon family will be out for revenge against Major Hurd ... wait ... Major?” Amethyst smiled. “I must congratulate him. I’ve heard a rumour that the Major recently married? Am I right in thinking that he and Christina? ...” she looked at Cyndi for confirmation.

"Klingon's are unique, the prefer to die a warrior's death.I don't know how this death will affect the Klingon Culture," Cyndi commented "Yes Captain Hurd was promoted to Major and that's the reason General Long was here. She handled the promotion and he's also the ship's second officer. As far as them being married, I have heard but I've not officially been told. I do know there is a Chaplin aboard but I've not met him yet either."

“I heard a rumour about a wedding involving Major Hurd but I’m not certain whether it’s true or not, to be honest.” Amethyst smiled. “I should learn not to listen to the ship’s grapevine.”

"The ship's grapevine works a lot let me tell you," Cyndi said "Don't believe everything you hear, if they are married then they'll need different quarters and I don’t know who will move the major or Christina."

Amethyst nodded. “Well I was planning on visiting so I’ll find out for myself.” She grinned. “Right now I’m just glad not to be needing the guard anymore.” She walked over to Flora checking her small daughter was alright as she slept.

"That makes me miss my son," Cyndi commented "If the rumor about the marriage is true have the major tell me so I can make it official."

Amethyst nodded. "I've no doubt if it's true he will get round to telling you."

"I'm sure he will, but what with the general being aboard and the promotion I'm sure it just slipped his mind" Cyndi replied

Just then the door opened, Amethyst smiled as she got up to greet Will. “Hey” she smiled warmly. “Welcome home.”

"Commander," Cyndi greeted getting to her feet. "I should be going as your going to want to spend some down time with your family. I'm going to attempt to contact my husband again."

“Thank you again for the presents Commodore” Amethyst smiled warmly. “It was nice talking with you.”

" Commodore I will catch up with you later. After I play daddy for a while," Will stated to Cyndi.

"No rush commander, I'll leave you to your free time and I'm going to contact my husband," Cyndi replied heading out.

Will smiled then turned to the his family.

" Daddy's Home. "

Kal leapt up from his seat and quickly gave his father a welcome home hug. “Come see Daddy!” He lead Will over to the table to show him his science set.

Will quickly went over and spied the amazing build.

" What have you built?" Will replied. Looking to Amethyst. " Hi gorgeous."

“Hi yourself handsome” Amethyst smiled as she walked over and gave her husband a welcome home kiss. “Commodore Song says I can finally get rid of the security detail, it was starting to worry Kal so she said she’ll have a word with security.”

" Unfortunatly we lost a good man and I a friend. We are leaving the base soon so hopefully life will get back to normal." Will replied.

“That would be nice” Amethyst nodded. “I’m sorry about Kordell. It’s hard to believe that he’s the likely suspect for my attack.”

" Dr H'iri stated he was under the influence of the lyme disease and ruled his actions a cause of mental insanity. Just bad all around. I know look at what I did before I was treated. How are you feeling?"

“I’m fine” Amethyst smiled. “Flora has been very well behaved and I managed a quick nap earlier when both she and young man here slept.” Aurora smiled at Kal.

" How about a rec deck trip? This new Morale officer has added video games and a bubble machine for the kiddos?" Will replied.

“Can we go?! Pleassseee!!” Kal looked at his mother with big puppy dog eyes.

Amethyst nodded. “Of course we can! Just give me five or ten minutes to get Flora ready and we can go.” She smiled warmly.

" Oh no it's my turn. Mom wear something...sexy," Will whispered.

“Oh I will” Amethyst smiled and headed to change. When she returned a few minutes later she was wearing a figure hugging short dress, one she was sure Will would find appealing. “I hope this meets your approval” she smiled warmly.

" For sure. I always wanted to go bowling with you in a mini dress. Let's go family." Will replied heading toward the door with baby Flora in hand.

“You sure this dress will be okay?” Amethyst looked at Will as she held onto Kal’s hand as they headed out. “I want to look good for you not make other men’s eyes pop out.”

" You're right. My wife is too gorgeous. Maybe a more conservative apparel is best. Leggings are back in style," Will smiled.

Amethyst grinned. “Give me three minutes” with that she quickly ran back into the bedroom. Minutes later she reappeared in a pair of leather trousers and a matching top. “Now let them look!” She grinned as she kissed Will on the cheek.

" Why did I waste the time we had on the Washington? I should have married you then."

“Well you’re married to me now” She paused to kiss him. “And that’s all that matters!”

" That's true. I am XO of a starship and married to the woman of my dreams. I'm going to be the best XO this Star Fleet has ever known...I promise Amethyst." Will said kissing both of her hands.

“You already are Imzadi” Amethyst smiled looking into Will’s eyes. “Let’s go have some fun and then we can have some time to ourselves once our little ones are asleep,”

Will smiled as she had said what he needed to hear.

< Rec Room >

The new rec area was state of the art as Morale Officer Tor believed very highly in a content crew.

" Kal this game was my favorite. It's from Earth's twentieth century. It's called Pacman."

Amethyst grinned as she watched Kal and his father having bonding time whilst they played. She was sitting in the baby soft play area with Flora, who was gurgling and giggling happily.

" All right Amethyst you're up. He beat me. I think he can read my mind or something. Come here Baby Flora Daddy's here." Will nuzzled in.

“Right” Amethyst grinned. Getting up she headed over to Kal to try her luck. “You’ll have to teach me Kal, I’ve never played before.”

“Okay mummy!” Kal grinned before showing his mother what to do. A few minutes later she returned to Will and Aurora. “Kal wins two games to one!” She grinned. “He’s pretty good at that.”

" I THINK he got into my head though. It was weird. Do you think he has matured to that point?" Will asked.

“I don’t think so” Amethyst shook her head. “I haven’t sensed anything from Kal yet, developing his abilities early wouldn’t be easy on him.”

" Probably right. I just suck at gaming. Kal? I'm coming for my rematch." Will replied. " Now we play a game called After Burner."

Amethyst grinned she had to admit this was fun, being out as a family was special and it gave her more time with Will which she always enjoyed.

" Amethyst Hello again," Tor greeted out of nowhere.

“Tor!” Amethyst smiled warmly. “How lovely to see you again. How are you settling in?”

" This is my work. What do you think?" Tor asked.

Amethyst smiled. “Forgive me it was something of a silly question. I think this is wonderful.”

" Focusing on my duty. Everyone seems amused."

“They are and Kal loves it here.” Amethyst grinned as she watched her son and husband playing together. “I’m just glad I found Will again, it’s given us what we needed. To be together again.”

" Then my work is done. Enjoy your evening Counselor." Tor replied.

“And you too” Amethyst smiled warmly, before turning her attention back to playing with Flora.

Will and Kal returned with an appetite.

" Pizza anyone? They also have a soda fountain?" Will suggested.

“Now you said the magic word” Amethyst smiled as she picked up Flora. “Let’s go and get some food. I’d actually love some jelly and ice-cream!”

" Jelly on Ice Cream? As a topping?"

“As a side and dessert comes later” Amethyst grinned a wry grin as she looked at her husband.

" Yes and yes."

The evening was amazing for all the Raymond's and marked what Will hoped would be his new normal.

Once they reached home Amethyst put a sleeping Flora and a very tired Kal to bed. It wasn’t long before he was fast asleep. “Well it looks like it’s just me and you now.” Amethyst smiled as she joined her husband.

" I have been saving one more game for last. But it involves you hiding under our cover...naked" Will grinned.

Amethyst grinned a wry grin. “Ohhh really?” She started heading towards the bedroom. “In that case I’d best head to bed.” She playfully started removing her clothing carrying it into the bedroom with her rather than leave a naughty trail of clothing incase Kal woke up.

That game lasted the rest of the evening.
