Post # 2 - Royal Audience

Lieutenant JG Nix Dunjen had already said her good-byes to the CO and her friends. Entering the Transporter Room she walked up to the Operator "Here Ensign....these are the coordinates I would like you to beam me to...if you would please....they're on Klavor" she stated knowing that this would be her last time on the Hudson....Nix was to start a new chapter in her life aboard the USS Amandora.

But first there was something that she needed to do. Nix took one last look around at the place that she had called home for the past eight years before giving the Operator a nod....moments later she was gone.

Nix materialized on the surface dressed in her all black Star Fleet uniform which was the color for the Intelligence Department. Nix had received special orders from Star Fleet Intelligence to have a few words with the Queen before reporting to the Amandora.

As Nix walked up to the Royal Palace she whispered to Dunjen "You ready old friend to meet some Royalty." "If we must" he replied in her thoughts. Nix grinned to herself knowing that he was not big on meeting Royalty "Yes we must...I have orders saying so" she stated.

When they walked into the Palace they were stopped by a Guard "State your business" he said matter of factly.

Nix was now on mission and wasn't in any mood for government nonsense. Handing the Guard her orders "I have been ordered by Star Fleet to seek an audience with the Queen to relay some important information....if you would please." she replied feeling Dunjen becoming annoyed.

"Wait here....I'll be right back" then the Guard turned and left.

Soon he returned and handed Nix the orders back "The Queen will see you now....right this way" he replied then led the way.

Nix could sense what Dunjen was thinking "It's about time asshat" and with that Nix had all she could do to not laugh as she thought "Dunjen behave yourself."

Upon entering the Throne Room, Nix walked up to the Queen at a respectful distance....stopped and kneeled on one knee with her head bowed "Your Majesty.....thank you for seeing me on such short notice" she stated waiting for the Queen to acknowledge her presence.

The Queen smiled "Rise my child....whom do I have the pleasure of addressing....you have word for me from Star Fleet" she asked dismissing the Royal Guards with a hand gesture.

Nix stood up and walked a few more steps before stopping "Allow me introduce myself....I am Lieutenant JG Nix Dunjen.....a joined Trill....the sixth incarnation of the symbiont Dunjen and newly assigned to the USS Amandora in light of recent events your Majesty" she concluded.

The Queen smiled "It's very nice to meet you both Lieutenant....and please we're alone...call me Tasha. So what word do you have for me" she inquired.

Even though Nix felt a little uncomfortable addressing Royalty this way, she respected the Queen's wishes "Tasha Star Fleet wanted you to know that the suspension from the Federation is a mere formality. They believe the accusations against Klavor are unfounded by this man who calls himself Usher.....as soon as that can be confirmed as such, then you will be reinstated with all the privileges and rights thereof" Nix replied hoping that the Queen would accept her words.

Tasha stood and walked closer to Nix "I was hoping that was the case and I can assure you that the accusations are most certainly
unfounded" she stated then paused before resuming "Lieutenant what is it exactly you do for Star Fleet."

Nix smiled at Tasha "I'm and Infiltration Specialist. Star Fleet Command felt that in light of recent events that it would be prudent to have someone like myself aboard ship. If anyone was to be captured, kidnapped, or abducted then I could get them safely back to the Ship in a short amount of time and avoid what the Commodore, your daughter, had to endure for so long."

Tasha let out a sigh "That's a smart move on their part....I only wish that you had been on the Ship before my daughter was taken" she replied "But at least now I feel she will be safer should anything like this happens again."

"I will do my best Tasha" Nix replied.

"I know you will Lieutenant" then Tasha paused "You know you have all the makings of being a good Diplomat....so why Infiltration, if you don't mind my asking."

Nix thought for a moment before answering "I'm honored that you think I could be a Diplomat, but my Father teaches hand to hand combat at a University and my Mother teaches Intelligence Tactics at the same place....so I guess I was destined to become what I am" she commented "Besides I can help people better doing this type of work."

"And I'm quite sure that you both are very good at what you do" she replied "Was there anything else?"

The Lieutenant took the Queen's hint "No Tasha that was all I needed to see you about....with you're permission I'll be on my way....thank you for seeing us...it was an honor to meet you your Majesty" Nix replied then bowed her head waiting to be dismissed.

"The honor is all mine....and I'm sure my daughter will be very glad to have you both as part of her Crew" Tasha replied "You are dismissed" then the Queen returned to her throne and sat.

Nix and Dunjen turned and made their way out of the Throne Room as Nix thought "You ready to see our new home old friend" "Anytime you are" he replied.
