{Security Department}

After the Mission Briefing Commander O'Connell has his orders for Security/Tactical. Walking into the Security section of the Ship he had a meeting with his Staff.

"Gather around folks, we have some work to do" he stated then continued "It seems that the Outpost that we're going to has had reports of nefarious activity concerning the disappearance of some people to work on their Ships. While this isn't confirmed Star Fleet has sent the Amandora to investigate. There will be a few away teams going to the surface and I want four man Security Teams to go with each Shuttle. Any question so far."

One of the Lieutenants raised his hand "What's the equipment going to look like for this Op" he asked.

"Standard Away Team protocols will apply to gear but I want phaser rifles added to the mix and make sure you have extra batteries for your weapons as well" O'Connell explained.

"I'll post the Away Team Rosters later today and as far as the rest of you are concerned I want everyone else on standby just in case. Also I'll be meeting with the Marine C.O. later on to see what they have planned for this Op. So any more questions?"

Jamie looked around the room "No? be careful and stay frosty; keep our people safe down there. Dismissed" he said being very confident in his people.

{Intelligence Department}

Nix and Heather had spent a few hours going over and trying out all of the Infiltration Tech to bring Heather up to speed.

"So are you comfortable using this stuff" Nix asked with a smile.

"Heather thought for a moment "Yes I am. Most of these items I have used before it was just the electronics I wasn't sure about. Now I'm confident that I can use everything without any problems" she stated being quite proud of herself.

"Good, I knew you'd be a quick study" Nix commented "Usually we only get about twenty four to forty eight hours notice prior to an Op.....I want to make sure we're both ready in case we need to go in as a team."

"That makes sense.....I certainly don't want to be the weak link in our chain" Heather replied.

"Oh I don't think you have to worry about that at all" Nix replied as she heard Dunjen "No, this one is really good at what she does" he commented as Nix smiled "Dunjen agrees with me, so that makes it official" as a grin came across her face.

"I have to ask.....does your Symbiont speak to you often....just curious" Heather inquired.

"No not all the time but every now and then, but more so when we're on a Mission. He can sense things that I can not" Nix explained "He's saved my life more than once."

"Dunjen sounds like a handy guy to have around" Heather commented " And since it's lunch time would you like to grab something with me in the Lounge....I know I could use something to eat."

"We'd like that and I could stand something to eat as well" Nix replied as the Specialists left for the Lounge talking and laughing along the way.
