A Dream Come True – Podcast 001 Palal System

Jennifer looked up from her computer and looked outside. She saw the streaks of light indicating they were at Warp speed. Currently her dad has the Runabout going at Warp 5. She couldn’t wait to see what the Palai System would have in store for them. She turned back to computer and started her first entry in the Podcast 001
Podcast 001 Palal System
Typing: Jennifer Smithers here on her and Starfleet’s first mission into the Palal System. Currently on board the Danube Class Runabout, USS Marquette. I’m with my Dad, Lt Smithers, and my Uncle Grainger, Lt jg Grainger. We have a precious cargo of various plant life and small trees. Also, a lot of soil and Uncle Grainger’s Rock, Mineral, and Crystal samples. Most of it is going to be a part of the USS Amandora’s Arboretum. Some of the minerals and especially crystal samples will stay with Uncle Grainger. Some of the Crystals that he has are very special.
I will have the time of my life setting up the Arboretum. I want to represent a very small forest with foliage of Earth. A little bit of home from home. I think that Holodecks are great but I’m an old-fashioned girl wanting to feel the actual sand at my feet. Who knows what plant life the Amandora crew will find. Having a college degree in Botany I know that there will be samples for me to help check out and compare to Earth plants. Two big reasons for the small Earth Like forest in the Arboretum is for people to enjoy literally a part of home away from home and to get samples from it to make it easier to compare Earth plants to plants of any other system.
As for Away Team missions, that would depend on Dad and Commodore Cyndi Song’s opinion. I’m sure it will be on a case-by-case basis. I will continue to write more Podcasts when time permits. To make it clear to both Starfleet and my Dad Lt Smithers I will not transmit anything from the ship without permission, especially if it is classified info. Otherwise, what I write and send to my fans, friends, and family I have a copywrite over.
Jennifer stopped typing and saved her first Podcast Entry. She will send it later with permission back to Earth.
