Lieutenant Zolon stepped onto the Bridge and walked straight to Science Station One since she had been tasked by the Commodore to do in depth scans of the surrounding Planets trying to find the missing Crews of the three Ships currently at the Base.

Needless to say this was going to be an arduous and time consuming task. Looking at the Star Map Cassandra decided the best way to go about this was to break the area into sectors then scan each one by one while hoping she would get lucky and find what she was searching for.

After two hours Cass had scanned two of the six sectors and had come up empty thus far. She stopped for a few minutes and walked around her area of the Bridge for a bit while stretching her back and neck.

Returning to the Science Station Cass began to scan the next sector looking for a Planet with an unusually large population compared to the latest Star Fleet records. Two more hours had rolled on by and now there were only two sectors left to scan. Needless to say she wasn't too awfully hopeful of locating the missing Crews.

Three more hours rolled on by and Cassandra was no more successful finding the three Crews than she was before she started the scans which bothered her immensely.

The Lieutenant let out a long sigh as she went over all the scan data one last time in case she had missed something. After being satisfied with her work Cass stopped and thought things through for a few minutes when a thought entered her mind "Logically speaking if they're not on any Planet then obviously they would have to be on one or more Ships somewhere.....but where.....that was the million credit question."

Now Planets were relatively easy to scan since they were in a fixed position whereas a Ship, or Ships, had the bad habit of being movable objects.

Cassandra filed a report with Command listing in detail the results from her last seven hours of scans. If the Crews were indeed on a Ship or Ships somewhere then that analysis would have to be done by someone else since that was way out of her wheelhouse."
