-Bridge-

Commander O'Connell received word from the Commodore to return to the Amandora. Tapping his Comm "Crew secure the Ship; as soon as we're done we're going home" he stated being the best news he had heard in awhile.

Jamie was busy securing the Bridge locking out his Security Codes in preparation for the Ohio Crew's return from where ever the hell they might be.

Once finished Jamie sat in the Big Chair looking around the area . As much as he would like a command of his own, he wasn't sure if he was really ready for this type of responsibility; of course was any Captain really ever ready.

The Lift doors swooshed open as the other five members of Jamie's small Crew arrived on the Bridge "The Ship is secure Commander, can we get the hell out of here now." one of the Crew commented.

Jamie got up out of the Chair with a smile "Yes we can" then tapping his Comm "Amandora this is O'Connell six to beam back home" came the request and moments later the Ohio was void of any life aboard.

-Amandora-

Moments later O'Connell and his Crew materialized aboard Ship "Glad to have you back Commander" the Operator said with a smile.

"It's good to be back Lieutenant" he replied then turned to his Crew "Thanks guys for all your hard work and support. Take tomorrow off, you deserve it." The Crew were all smiles at the thought of having a day off finally as they nodded in agreement.

The next place Jamie headed was to see a very important women that he so desperately missed.

{Deck 2 - Quarters}

Janie walked into his home and put his duffel on the couch....if Heather walked in she would see his bag so he wouldn't startle her...or get his ass kicked at the same time.

Walking into the shower Jamie turned on the water and just stood there for several minutes enjoying the water cascading over his dirty and somewhat smelly body...after all it had been a few days without a shower. When done he dressed and went back into the living area and grabbed his favorite adult beverage....Irish Whiskey neat. Sitting on the couch Jamie took a long sip when he heard someone at the door. Knowing who it must be he stood with a smile on his face.

Heather walked in and closed the door. When she looked up Heather dropped her bag on the floor then ran over to Jamie....through her arms around his neck then proceeded to give him a great big kiss for several minutes "Oh Jamie I've missed you so much....why didn't you let me know you were coming home....you are here to stay right?"

Jamie returned the kiss in spades then smiled "I really missed you and to answer your question.....I'm home to stay" he replied with a smile "And I wanted to surprise you at the same time."

"Let me go change then we can sit and you can tell me all about the Ohio over some drinks before we eat" a very happy Heather stated then made her way to the bedroom to change.

When she returned Jamie already had a glass of red wine waiting for her as well and another whiskey for himself.

When seated on the couch Heather asked "So what was the Ohio like and were you able to find out anything about the missing Crew" she queried really wanting to hear what happened.

Jamie took a sip of his drink before he began "Well let's see.....I would describe the Ohio as boring, tedious, frustrating, boring, time consuming....and did I mention boring" he explained "Although I did get to see one of those ant beings up close and personal; not that we could communicate with one another."

"Yes I think you've mentioned boring more than a few times" she replied with a grin "Sounds like seeing the ant being was the highlight of being on the Ship" she replied feeling bad for Jamie.

"Ya pretty much.....if I don't ever have to read another bloody Ship's Log ever again it'll be too soon" he stated "Although I still have no idea where the crew disappeared to."

Heather put her arms around his neck "I'm sorry you had such a miserable experience" then gave him a kiss "So what would you like for dinner" she asked with a smile.

A big grin came across Jamie's face as her whispered in her ear "Dinner can wait.....we have some catching up to do" as he looked into those gorgeous eyes.

With a big smile "Ooh Commander I like the way you think" as she stood grabbing his hand the couple proceeded to the bedroom.
