H'iri had been aboard the Amandora since launch and perceived herself to be essential. Her friendship with the counselor was not a secret so when Amethyst cane to her with her very intriguing pregnancy H'iri took point.

Saying that H'iri still needed to report the case to the Chief Medical Officer.

" Doctorr Bjorgooo do you have a moment?" H'iri purred. " I have an interesting case you need to be made aware of,"

Bjorgo dropped the hand holding the PADD to his side and walked over. "Go ahead, Doctor, I'm listening."

" Counselor Anethyst Raymond presented herself with pregnancy. She also had apparently eaten a fruit given to her by the rescued being called Brol. This being is scientifically classified as flora colassus. The fruit has intertwined with the fetus and,has created a second birth sac which appears to be nourishing the fetus. It has an effect of giving the fetus rapid growth rates. The child will be full term in ten days at this rate." H'iri spelled out.

Anger crept into Bjorgo's eyes as she spoke, and when she was done he cursed internally. "Bloody Hell!" He seethed. "Well, nothing like being put on report for eating something you shouldn't have. Away team protocol 101. You'd think a ship's counselor would know better." The PADD came up and he tapped quickly, then dropped it to his side again. "You are her primary physician?"

" She came me as a female. You may of course assume primary as Chief." H'iri purred.

"I was asking because she feels comfortable with you, obviously." Tore allowed his anger to subside, a hard thing to do as an Augment. Now, he maintained an air of mildly perturbed. "I need you to maintain your status as her personal physician, that way she remains somewhat calm and feels safe." As he spoke the frustration at the news he had received finally dissipated, leaving his mind to focus on duty, not stupidity.

"See to her, Doctor H'iri," ordered Bjorgo. "I will back you and support you when, and if, it is needed. I will delve into your scans and notes and see what I can discern as a way of treatment. Normally the mother supports the nutrients necessary for a child, so this whole extra fetal sac has me a bit stumped--pardon the pun, was not intentional. Also, get with this Brol and gather all the knowledge it can give you on this issue. Plus, trees and humanoids are not medically compatible in this galaxy, yet, here we are. I don't even know where to begin."

" Perrrplexxxing. The sac appears to be giving the fetus extra hydration which would be normal for a tree. The child is growing at a rate unseen before in humanoids. I predict 8 to 10 days until delivery." H'iri replied.

Bjorgo stood a few moments, arms crossed over the chest as his left hand played with his goatee in a thinking pose. His eyes refocused after a few moments and he then uncrossed his arms and brought the PADD up, tapping away for a few moments.

"As of now, Doctor H'iri, you are my Acting Assistant Chief Medical Officer." Tore explained, flipping the PADD around for her to view as legitimate, dropping it after a few moments. "I believe that between the two of us we can whip anything that comes our way, or tries to harm this crew when it comes to medicine."

" Asssistant Chief, I am,sooo honored.Thank you Sir," H'iri purred.

"Don't thank me, H'iri, you've earned it. Your dedication and hard work brought this about." Tore was glad to see that the felinoid was happy with the news. "This way you can also attend to Miss Amethyst the best way you feel possible without contacting me first on the procedure. Keep me in the loop? Yes. We'll work together and figure this out. If nothing else we'll get our names posted in a few medical journals, I'm sure." He gave a grin.

" Most definately Doctorrrr." H'iri purred. This was definately a big shock but a welcomed one. Her focus returning again to Amethyst and that situation.

" Perhaps a physical of
the Brol might help sir." H'iri added.

"Bring Brol in and subject it to the same tests we would subject humanoids to." Bjorgo instructed. "We need to know all we can about chemistry, anatomy, the works."

" Will do Doctorr," H'iri meowed.

Tore gave a nod. "We'll get this figured out, Doctor. Carry on." Bjorgo turned from the Caitian, bringing the PADD back up so he could continue with what he had been doing before H'iri had called him over. Part of his mind mulled over the Brol issue and the interbreeding.
