Amethyst had made her way to her office to carry on with her duties while she had chance, she’d be able to work at least up until her eighth month which would be in another six days, she was still concerned about how much strain such a rapid pregnancy would put on her body. She was drinking a lot more than usual but H’iri had said that she had developed an almost root like system inside her that was helping to feed her growing child. It seemed that just a placenta wasn’t enough for this baby.
Sitting at her desk Amethyst remembered how lousy she felt during her pregnancy with Kal, she had severe morning sickness but so far this time she wasn’t feeling too bad only slightly queasy so far. She picked up the glass of water on her desk and drank some more, before tucking into the tray of healthy snacks she’d replicated to eat. She had noticed a considerable upsurge in her appetite as well, although she had to wonder what a part Brol child would eat, what did living plants eat?
“Computer ... open Counsellor’s log” She sat back in her seat.
“Counsellor”s personal log ... or should I say more of a pregnancy journal. I sit here today two days into a pregnancy that has turned out to be two months developed, it seems I’m going to develop a month for every day of this pregnancy. As much as I wanted to have another baby I didn’t have plans for it to be so soon!
I’m glad I have Will, he’s being so understanding I don’t know how he’s avoiding an argument with Brol over this.
Speaking of Brol, I firmly believe that he/she/it only did what was considered to be what I wanted. I should have made sure what the fruit Brol gave me did before I ate it. Now I’ve learned my lesson. Although it seems that my abilities are stronger thanks to this change,
I really need to speak to Brol, to truly understand what is happening to me and what is happening to the child inside me.
Computer ... end log.”
