RUNABOUT USS RHINE

Alister glanced out the forward viewport as the runabout Rhine approached the rear quarter of the USS Amandora. Leaning back in his seat he let out a long sigh as he worked out a slight kink in his back from the longer than originally planned for warp passage.

"Sorry for the slight delay not entirely sure why the Amandora decided to drop out here of all places," the young Ensign at the control panel said bringing the craft to a halt as the entered transporter range.

"I'm sure I'll find out once I get aboard and get caught up to speed Ensign," Alister said standing up from his chair, "Thanks for the smooth flight." With a nod he moved to the transport array and activated the beaming sequence.


USS AMANDORA

"Welcome back aboard Lt McKeon," the transporter chief said looking up from his panel.

"Good to be back aboard," Alister replied stepping off the pad, "Took longer than originally planned." He glanced over, "So Chief what made the Amandora pull over in this neck of the woods so to speak?"

The Chief snorted, "A sleeper ship of all things simply going in circles if you can believe that. Afraid I don't have much other than that, brass is keeping a lid on the info."

Alister chuckled, "I'm sure someone will give me the once over tomorrow morning once I report in. I'm going to enjoy sleeping in a bed without worrying about someone trying to stick a sharp object in me."

The chief laughed, "Have a good night Lt. McKeon."

Alister gave a nod of his head and headed to his old quarters ready to get a peaceful nights sleep.
