# 16 " Flushing out the Verman"

Today 2Lt Virginia Dallas formed up her squad along with her new shadow Ensign Frazier to look for the fake bomb . It was not any other bomb but a lethalgenic device they had been training to find.

Armed with the tricorder settings to find the device Frazier took his squad to the upper levels and began their search. Dallas took her squad to the lowest level and worked upward.

The first two decks were duds as nothing could be found but the third deck proved very exciting as numerous lethalgenic readings were all over that deck.

" Team one to team 2." Frazier said
=/\= I am always team 1 idiot. Report.=/\=
" Whatever the targets have been detected?" Frazier stated.

=/\= That was quick.=/\=
" It's worse there are numerous targets and they are moving....we have engaged..."

=/\= Engaged what? It is an exercise.=/\=
Silence filled the air as real alerts sounded through out the station..



Fraziers team had actually detected a target matching the lethalgenic residue and had engaged. The target was non other than an alien rodent species called a vole.

Brought aboard by the pirates to reek havoc after they were gone

John later found Virginia at a briefing giving an after action statement to the stations acting Commander.

Both stated how this was to be an exercise but that it had become real when the lethal voles had been found on deck 3.

But Fraziera team had used phaser rifles on the voles when all of a sudden several attacked their position.

2Lt Virginia Dallas then accepted the reprimand that followed.

James met her outside the promenade section and bought her a round.

" I'm sorry I got you in trouble Butter Bars." James said to Virginia.

" Well it all works out. I may go to your ship.and cause you problems Starfleet " Virginia replied.

James frowned as he considered she just might
