The team stood close and prepared to enter the camp but Sabbath could not help but be fascinated by the large reading of gold in the area. Looking over to Tara he concluded to be more observant.

" I have received readings from the ship that a large deposit of gold is very near this area. I am awaiting Commander Parker's response to investigate. " Sabbath explained.

"Considering this world is not part of the Federation or even a protected one all we can do is take a look as the commodore said. We cannot remove anything," Tara commented

" As you very well know. Gold was once considered sacred to prehistoric cultures. Often used in ritualistic acts and even adorned by their leaders. It would be interesting to see how they use it." Sabbath replied.

"Some cultures not all," Tara commented "I have studied some of Earth's history. My planet does value gold to a degree."

" Then again they may not be aware of its value. I am understandably curious how these people came to be here in such a small group." Sabbath replied.

"I guess we'll have to see. I did report in the briefing that they live in huts and wear furs for clothes. They might not even know about the gold," Tara replied.

" Tara I have seen this before. When native cultures meet alien or foreign cultures sometimes the males exert themselves to take the females. I will intervene on your behalf if it comes to that as you are my colleague. " Sabbath added to their conversation.

"That's very noble of you, let's hope it doesn't come to that," Tara replied.

"That's what colleagues are for," Sabbath added.
