Post Number 26-On The Way To Drop The Marker Buoy

Once the briefing was over Alesha headed for her quarters to change into her flight suit, a message to Krisitan letting her know she was on mission to take care of Amber. Alesha was still puzzled as to what about her that had impressed the ship’s first officer. Something she was sure he’d talk to her about when the time was right.

Grabbing her helmet Alesha headed for the fighter wing, walking in she headed to her fighter, ran her hand along the sleek hull of her craft. Pressing the button that revealed the hidden ladder, climbing aboard and w flight check. Alesha brought the fighter’s systems online. Alesha put her helmet on, closed the canopy signaled she as ready to depart. Permission was given, firing the engines she lifted off and sent word to have the marker buoy deployed and she’d pick it up once clear of the ship. Maneuvering the fighter toward the hanger doors that had opened. Hitting the thrusters the fighter moved through the doors, spotting the buoy Alesha engaged the fighter’s tractorbeam. Once she had the buoy engaged the cloak, and took the fighter to warp. Next stop was the planet to deploy the buoy and then head to Star Base Danvers.

The trip would take several hours to get to the planet. Alesha loved flying and was thrilled the commodore and first officer let her go.

On the ship Cyndi had heard the exchange as Alesha left the ship with the marker buoy in tow, she was worried about a loan fighter out in space but Cyndi also knew how skilled of a pilot Rivers was. She’d be fine. One day Cyndi would like to meet Alesha’s parents. Both were Starfleet Officers just on leave and she was curious as to why. But that was for another time, Right now her focus was both her officer out in space had her ship hours from Star Base Danvers, seeing her husband and kids again.
