After getting back on the ship, a change into a fresh uniform Cyndi knew she needed to touch base with Alesha, and Commanders Parker. Tapping her com-badge "Commander Benjamin Parker, Lieutenant Commander Emma Parker and Captain Rivers please report to my ready room, I'd like an update on things."
"On my way Commodore." Benjamin said, as he left the bridge and made his way over to the intercom. He wondered why the Commodore was summoning all three of them.
Alesha acknowledged the call, dropped Amber off with Kristian and headed for the ready room. She was not sure why Cyndi wanted her there but orders were orders, Stepping onto the bridge. Alesha nodded to the XO. "Commander," she greeted.
"Captain, I'm very impressed, will discuss more in detail a little bit later on." Benjamin said with a big warm smile on his face. He felt that she handled herself well on the bridge, during their last mission.
Alesha was puzzled as to what she could have done that had impressed the first officer. Unless it had something to do with the fighter wing,
Emma walked into the meeting. She had had to get cleaned up a bit and stopped by medical for a required check over to make certain she was okay. "Sorry I am late Commodore, Commander."
"Your not late," Cyndi assured her, "This meeting is to go over with everyone regarding the planet, the ship and what happened with you in the underground caverns so we're all on the same page. I noticed when I got back aboard that Lieutenant's Sabbath and O'Neil both were gone. Alesha what happened?"
"They simply quit sirs, no reason given," Alesha said. "I tried to get them to stay and tell the two of you why and they just refused and left. Other than that there was computer glitch that showed a ship entering orbit with us. That was easily fixed. Some beam from the planet was causing issues with the computers, we stayed ahead of it and everything up here was fine."
"Well it sounds like we got the problem figured out, and that's what really matters." Benjamin said as he looked over to Alesha.
"Keeping the ship safe was my main concern, and to have a place for everyone to return to," Alesha responded.
"And you succeeded, good job Captain." Benjamin told with with a big grin on his face.
"Thank you sir." Alesha said. (Did you miss part of the tag. You left a comma here? Did part of the JP cut off?) (It was not cut off I added a comma I changed it to a period,
"You're Welcome." Benjamin said, as he looked over to Emma and then over to Cyndi. Waiting for one of them to chime in.
"Captain I second what the commander said. You've had a little different training than Starfleet Officers but you did a fantastic job and you are command certified." Cyndi said.
"I am a bit confused." Emma replied. "Who was in underground caverns. I never left the surface. If you would like my report on what happened in the abandoned town I was in I can do that."
Cyndi shook her head, "No Emma I'm the one who is confused, you were in an abandoned city which you tripped and fell into. My error was in thinking it was underground. My apologies, I wish we could have explored that city."
"Maybe we will get the chance someday, the important thing is that everyone made it out safely." Benjamin suggested to Cyndi. Better to look at the positive outcome versus focusing on the negative side of the mission.
Emma thought to herself she had to inclination to want to go back. "I believe the androids might not always be as accomodating. I have a feeling their progamming is changing. At the moment there is a moral code that they can't force someone, I am not certain it will always remain the same. They are desperate."
"I recommend watching a buoy to warn passing by starships of the potential danger of this planet." Benjamin suggested to his commanding officer.
"Agreed, we're too far from it to turn around. Captain Rivers can your fighter handle taking the buoy to the planet and dropping it in orbit?" Cyndi asked.
Alesha nodded. "It can, but considering the issues we ran into I'll cloak and head there. I'll meet the ship at the star base."
"Meet up at the Starbase?" Benjamin asked a little concerned.
Alesha nodded. "Yes sir, with that energy beam it's too risky for the ship. A fighter is more maneuverable than the ship. I can be there, drop the buoy and head for the star base."
"I was going to assign to myself, but if you want it, that's fine with me." Benjamin said, with a warm smile. it meant for him, that he would be able to spend more time with Emma.
Emma sat and listened to them speak. It did not feel appropriate for her to interrupt them at the moment. "I believe the buoy is a great idea."
"Commodore Song, I believe we a have plan." Benjamin said, waiting for Cyndi to approve it.
"We do, captain how soon before you can have your fighter ready and will taking the buoy be too much for it?" Cyndi asked.
"Fighter is ready now, I keep it ready as well as the rest of the fighters. I'll need a few minutes to change into my flight suit and no it won't be too much for it to handle." Alesha said. "Give me ten minutes. My daughter is with Dr. Long."
"Sounds good to me, anyone else have anything to add or are we good?" Cyndi asked.
"Isn't that your call to make, Commodore Song. For the record, I have nothing else." Benjamin said teasingly to his commanding officer.
"It is commander, we're good. Captain as soon as your ready launch your fighter and take the buoy back to the planet. Above all be careful." Cyndi said. "Dismissed."
