The runabout skathed thru the sector between here and Sagitarrius looking for a lost cruiser of crew and freight.

" Commander the freighters transponder signal is sporadic. One moment they are in sector one and now I am reading it in sector 2. We are also near pockets of chronoton eddies. No visual on a black hole," Kordell reported.

" Steady she goes. I don't want to get snagged in one of those ripples." Will Raymond replied. " Any idea what's causing thise ripples?"

Kordell scanned ahead and soon had an answer.

" Sir a pulsar is emitting chronoton waves. They are rippling through sectors one and two. The freighter must have gotten knocked off course. The route buoy is also caught up in the ripples." said Kordell. " Sir the closer we get to the ship the larger the ripples. That freighter must be undergoing some major..." Kordell stated as he was whip lashed and knocked on the floor as the Obed runabout was enveloped by one of the waves.

< Some time later >

Will revived feeling the aches of the bashing. Holding his neck he looked around for Kordell who lay motionless on the floor. Up ahead on the screen the freighter appeared.

" USS Obed to freighter....freighter...are you receiving me?"

=/\= We are Obed. Thank you for saving us. What ever you did shook us out of the wake." a voice replied.

" No problem. Do you need a tow?" asked Will.

=/\= Negative sir. Freighter King 3 out.=/\=

Will huffed," We save their necks and barely a thank you. Ok Kordell get up." Will said turning to his security escort.

Kordell barely moved but when he did Will realized why.

" Computer analize effects the chronoton wave had in this ship."

ANALYZING EFFECTS UNCALCULABLE.

" REALLY? Then why have we both aged a hundred years?" Will declared as his words were factual. The effects of the chronoton wave had altered his and Kordells age but had reversed the effects on the freighter and crew.

" What has happened sir?"

" It changed us."

" What?"

" The waves changed us some how. Made us old." Will yelled.

" Son of Kahless! Damn!"
