Kordell's lifeless body lay opened,and exposed as H'iri blades exhumed it. The gun shots had killed him but forensics would give light as to why this honorable officer had gone wrong.

Harboring inside his neck a living tick type being continued to feed on the dead carcass that was Kordell.

H'iri secured the being discovered it matched the one that effected Amandora's Commander Raymond.

Kordell had suffered a space borne lyme disease common to the Gleniq but deadly to other hosts.

Cyndi walked into sick bay on the star base and over to H'iri "While we wait for Doctors Bjorgo and Long to arrive. What can you tell me so far?"

" Lt Kordells blood was the perrrfect flavor for the Gleniqian tick. It is identical to the one Commander Raymond had. I am recommending quarantine for the Gleniq." H'iri reported.

Kristian entered just in time to hear the recommended quarantine "How long do you think we need to quarantine? The crew is not going to like this."

" Only those who greeted the Gleniq should be effected. Captain Leaf, Commodore Song, Commander Raymond and the deceased. Quarantine for ten days is my recommendation. Lt Kordell's official official ruling of death is multiple gun shot wounds. " H'iri replied. " I will forward my report to Star Fleet Medical and the Klingon Empire as Kordell maintained dual citizenship." H'iri added.

"I assure you I'm fine," Cyndi said

" Lyme disease is rough Commodore. This strain doubles that and effect mental capacities and delirium." H'iri urged.

Kristian pulled out her tri-coder and scanned Cyndi "There is no sign of the tick in the commodore.

" I only recommend. A second opinion does not offend me. I would warn your security to use phasers set to heavy stun though Commodore. Bullets don't have a stun setting." H'iri yowled.

Cyndi nodded "I'll pass it along,"

"And the CMO and I will keep an eye on the commodore," Kristian replied.

" A member of Kordell's family is coming to Starbase Mercury to claim the body." H'iri added.

Cyndi nodded "Have his body prepared for departure. Make sure you close him up well."

" Yesss Commodore it will be done." H'iri replied.

"Thank you doctor," Cyndi said "Then I think we're done here."
