H'iri arrived to work as usual with duties out the yen yang. As Acting Chief of Medicine she had to keep the infirmary going for the station as they awaited the arrival of a permanent CMO.

She missed her old role on the Amandora but the allure of being on a new station inticed her feline fancy and the strange new worlds out here.

The arduous task of treating a pride of Gleniq pirates of a lyme disease carrying tick had not been easy for her.

The arrival of Captain Leaf so early peeked her attention sligtly.

" Good morning are you ill Captain?" H'iri asked.

" No Doctor. The transport vessel Zephyr has been attack by a marauding vessel. The casualties are high and the wounded are heading your way. Prep your infirmary. Also Lieutenant you are being advanced to the position of Chief Medical Officer. Dr Sulak was one of the casualties." Leaf stated.

" We will be ready." H'iri replied not totally absorbing the promotion. " Who attacked the Zephyr?"

Leaf slowly replied.

" An unknown vessel."

As she spoke the infirmary became very active as the casualties arrived.
