Lt Odac Yova hardly left engineering but upon receiving his new department position part of his duties was to secure a psyche eval. The last thing Commodore Song needed was a lose cannon in engineering.

Also on that same note Lt Suvak also needed her eval and thus arrived at the same time.

" Hello...Odac Yova are you the Counselor?" he asked Suvak.

" No I am Suvak flight navigation. I have an appointment to see Counselor Raymond.

" Well so do I , I think." Odac replied.

Emerging from an office Amethyst was surprised to see two people waiting for her.

“My apologies, I was only expecting Lieutenant Suvak. It looks like there’s been a mix up with the schedule.” She offered a smile. “however if you’re willing to wait Lieutenant” She looked at Yova, “I’ll see you next.”

" I would settle with dinner?" Odac smiled.

Suvak rolled her eyes.

Amethyst couldn’t help but grin. “Mixing business with pleasure isn’t always a good idea Lieutenant.”

" You're right...I'll pick you up at 1800 hours then." Odac replied as he smiled and exited.

Suvak said nothing but entered the Counselors office. Her prejudice of terrans was never shielded as her eye brow seemed to always show her cards.

Amethyst shook her head and offered a smile to Suvak, “I’m afraid I’ll ruin his day when he realises I’m married.” She shrugged her shoulders. “Anyway ... please take a seat. If you’d like anything to drink please feel free to use the replicator.”

" That is not necessary Counselor. I am here to fulfill the requirements of my appointment. Are you a traditional counselor or will you be asking me mundane questions about my youth?" Suvak answered.

“I’m not your usual counsellor, I’m more of a let’s wing it kind of Counsellor.” She grinned and took her seat. “So tell me how are you settling in?”

" Adjustable. This crew is not as structured. They too seem to ' wing it " replied Suvak replied.

Amethyst smiled. “It seems we’re a fly by the seat of your pants type of crew. It must be very illogical to you, but I’m sure you’ll get used to it.”

" One must to serve. My last evaluation was 13 months ago. " Suvak dryly replied.

“Has anything happened in those 13 months that you think should be discussed?” Amethyst looked at Suvak curiously.

" This promotion is all that comes to mind. I do not lead an extraordinary life style Counselor. " Suvak replied.

“I wasn’t saying you do Lieutenant” Amethyst smiled. “Are you expecting any problems? Do you find the crew easy to get along with?”

" That is irrelevant. I am stationed here for 24 months. Once that is done I will return home to prepare for my betrothed wedding." Suvak snapped back.

“It may seem irrelevant Lieutenant, but it’s a requirement of your assignment.” She made a note on her PADD. “I didn’t think Vulcan’s tended to show annoyance?”

" And if I answer that it too will be used against me. There are medications that are permissable to be used for coping, even amongst Vulcans. I might need to ask the Chief of medicine for a sedative. I am becoming annoyed of late. I admit it." Suvak replied.

“Is there anything in particular that annoys you? Or is there a specific reason for your emotional outbursts?” She looked at Suvak curiously wondering if it had something to do with Pon’farr.

Suvak paused as she had not considered the Pon'farr.

" That is not acceptable.' Suvak replied

“What is it that’s not acceptable?” Amethyst looked at Suvak curiously.

" It is too early I am only 34 years old Counselor. Isn't my session over?" Suvak stormed.

“I would like you to see the doctor, just to be sure there’s nothing going on to worry about” Amethyst smiled warmly.

Pacing was not common for Suvak but she began and then out of no where she reached and touched Amethyst right temple.

" Help me.' she whispered as she mentally entered.

Amethyst reeled from the touch, a rush of jumbled emotion crossing the connection between them. “I ...” She looked at Suvak. “I will ... if I can.”

" Thank you." Suvak added as she then hugged the Counselor. ' I can't take this alone.'

Amethyst nodded a frown on her face. “It ... it’s my pleasure.” She shook off the strange feeling she had.

Suvak compared herself and then adjusted her uniform.

" I..am sorry. I feel better now Counselor. Thank you."

Amethyst nodded. “That’s good, if anything should change please come and see me.”

Suvak bowed with her neck and then exited as if a great burden had been lifted from her shoulders. No longer craving the wild passion that was the Pon' Farr.

Amethyst watched Suvak go completely unaware of what was to come.
