Mission: Character Development and A Mystery
Location: Bridge
Timeline: Concurrent

Commander Will Raymond made his way onto the bridge of the Amandora for the first time since returning. It felt like a life time as some new crew filled the rolls of former staff he had come to know.

Especially the flight navigation and engineering roles as two new faces filled those slots.

" Bridge adjust to Beta watch. Helm standard orbit. Engineering station Lieutenant your uniform looks slept in please remove yourself and go back to your quarters and replicate a new uniform." Will ordered.

The engineer, one Odac Yova, nodded and said nothing as he knew he was in the wrong. It had been a long week and the last thing he needed to do was start a fight with the XO. The very XO for whom he had just recently slept with his wife .

As the turbolift arrived at the bridge Amethyst stepped out almost crashing into Yova as he was attempting to step into the lift. Thanks to Suvak she had no memory of the recent events with Yova so she simply smiled apologetically as she side stepped out of his way.

" Can I see you later Counselor?" Yova whispered.

Aurora paused to look at Yova, there was something familiar but she couldn’t place what. “Feel free to drop by my office when your duties allow Lieutenant, otherwise I do have appointments available.”

Yova smiled as he thought he knew what that meant . The door to the lift closed as Yova plotted that next meeting.

" Imzadi? What do I owe this visit?" Will asked.

Amethyst smiled. “I’ve spent so much time away from you lately I thought I’d come and keep you company for a while.”

" Have a seat. I think this seat likes me," Will said referring to the Captain's chair.

Amethyst grinned as she took a seat in the XO’s chair for a change whilst it was empty. “This chair isn’t so bad you know. Not that I don’t think you’d make a wonderful Captain.”

" Oh I am just day dreaming. I wouldn't mind a yacht though on Earth." Will joked.

“Ohh really?” Amethyst grinned. “I’ll have to see what I can do about that.”

"Not in front of the kiddos Imzadi." Will said looking at Lt Suvak

Amethyst grinned and smiled at Suvak before looking back at her husband. “I’m looking forward to having some time with you now you’re back onboard.”

At this point Odac Yova returned and presented his finely pressed uniform to the Commander.

" Sir I hope this meet your
approval?" Yova bowed.

" It does. Take your station Lieutenant." Will snubbed.

" Counselor I still need my eval when you have time," Yova winked.

Amethyst smiled as she looked at Yova, “When your bridge duties allow Lieutenant.”

" Of course ma'am. " Yova smiled as he looked forward to another round with Amethyst.

Suvak turned around and also noticed Yova's arrogance. She had aided Amethyst with forgetting what they had done but realized a loose end of the situation was Yova.

" We have a meeting soon. Be prepared for the royal butt chewing wifey. Rumor has it the Commodore is on a roll." Will whispered.

Amethyst grinned. “I’m sure it won’t be that bad. No doubt we’ll find out.”

" I warned you. Excuse me." Will replied. " Lieutenant is something wrong? You keep looking at the back of my head?" Will said to Yova.

Yova bucked up but calmed down as he wanted to keep his role as assistant chief of engineering

" Sir the left nacelle is showing a power drain. I need to send a team to make a repair. We need to drop out of warp?" Yova told Will.

" Power drain.. Helm reduce speed to 3/4 speed. Mister...?"

". Odac Yova sir,"

" Mr Yova assign your repair crew."

" Aye sir...Ill do that...sir," Yova said exiting but eyeing Amethyst the whole time.

" Do you know him?" Will asked his wife.

Amethyst shook her head. “Not personally, just in passing.” She frowned. “He seems to be a ladies man.”

Suvak adjusted her seat and appeared to chuckle before pretending to cough.

" I apologize," Suvak stated.

Amethyst gave Suvak a curious look before looking back at her husband.

Will enjoyed the rest of his shift with Amethyst at his side as long as she sat there.

Amethyst smiled warmly, “You know I can just imagine us doing this in the future when you get your own ship. The kids entering the Academy to follow in our footsteps.”

" I have thought that very thought. Stop reading my mind Imzadi." Will replied .

A comm check rang to the bridge

[ Counselor you have an appointment in 19 minutes.]

" Duty calls." Will chuckled.

“Indeed it does” Amethyst grinned as she stood ready to leave the bridge. “I’ll see you later Commander.” She smiled warmly.

" Status report." Will replied as his attention went back to his duties.
