After nurse maiding Horton Clinton to calm down Will exited engineering and made a quick run up to the medical deck to visit Amethyst. His was a two fold visit both professional and of a far more personal nature.

" Are you busy?" Will said peeking his head in.

“Never too busy to see you!” Amethyst smiled warmly. “Come on in Will.”

"How's the first day? Any one certifiable yet beside me? " Will joked as he kissed her lips.

Amethyst returned Will’s kiss. “Mmm not that I know of yet, but I have only just begun to make an appointment schedule. Be warned I’ll be calling you for your evaluation.”

"Be careful there. Having is not so grand as wanting. I do need a favor, professionally. Our exchange officer Lt Alona Tal, she prefers "Centurion" . I need a good ole Betazoid reading on her. I am having reservations."

Amethyst looked thoughtful. “Well as an exchange officer she doesn’t necessarily need to assume a Starfleet rank does she? She didn’t train with Starfleet so she doesn’t hold a Starfleet rank. She is, however a Romulan trained officer why not allow her to use her Romulan rank? As long as she knows her position amongst the crew of course.”

" Good point. I however am just not so sure about her motives to be here. I'm sorry if I have made you uncomfortable Amethyst?" he replied. " On second thought never mind. It's probably just my prejudice. Dinner later? I'll cook. Or...maybe take you and Kal to the holodeck for a football game?"

“First...you haven’t made me feel uncomfortable” Amethyst smiled. “Second if you’d like me to speak with her I will and third, I think dinner later sounds lovely! As for football that’s something you can take Kal to for some father, son bonding.”

" Fine but we play our on game later." Will replied. Proceeding over for one more kiss. " I could get used to these you know?" Will added.

“Mmmm sounds good to me!” Amethyst smiled a wry smile. “I like the games we play together.”

" You're reading my mind now Beloved. Focus...must focus. Ok dinner, football and later."

Amethyst nodded. “I’ll keep a professional eye on our exchange officer for you, if she gives me any cause for concern I’ll let you know.”

" I appreciate that Counselor." Will replied straightening his waist. He hated to be so suspicious but the Amandora and crew was his responsibility.

“So is there anything else I can do for you Sir?” Amethyst grinned as she stood by her desk.

" There is but I am on duty. I never realized being an XO was so demanding on my time. You know what, maybe I need to lay down on your couch and unload my stresses." Will said.

“Please do Sir!” Amethyst grinned. “I’ll lock the door so you can speak to me in private.”

Will reentered with a smile on his face and then the doors slid shut.

Amethyst smiled as she wrapped her arms around Will’s neck. “Are you sure you want to do this? We could both get into trouble if we’re not careful.”

" What are they going to do thrust us out into deep space and make us walk back? Will replied as he began the kissing up her arm to her neck.

“Mmmm I don’t know, but I’d willingly be court martialled for making love to you!” Amethyst smiled warmly.

Will was in the moment but then his grown up voice stepped up. *The Captain. He needed to talk to her about the engineering meeting.

" Amethyst...I love you but I just remembered I have to meet with Captain Song to discuss the engine room. Please stay kindled til later?"

“I’m always kindled my love” Amethyst smiled as she stepped back and let him free of her embrace. “I’ll look forward to it.”

Will again adjusted his uniform and exited Amethyst office.
