Since the big bit of trouble Odac Yova had focused on his job in engineering. The quick rush out of the Sol system made his job even harder as the engine room was very busy and in his off time he was forced to personally maintain bulk heads, pylon and Jefferies tube maintenance.

Following his shift he quickly headed to ten forward for a quick sandwich and then it was back to the lower decks to work until bed time. This was to be for six months.

But that plan was side barred when he spotted Ellie Kees.

" Well Hello there." Yova smiled but then wiped it away as he saw no return smile

“Hi Yova” Ellie nodded politely. “I’m afraid I can’t hang around too long I’ve got a load of work, and extra duties to take care of.”

" As do I. Real quick it will take me two life times but I will find a way to make this up to you. I'm sorry Ellie." Yova told her.

Ellie offered a smile. “It’s not your fault Yova, at least not entirely. It takes two consenting adults to make love, plus I chose to drink as much as you did.”

" Yea you did drink me under the table. I like that you said love and not just sex. I hope we can still be friends? You're my only real friend on this ... ship." Yova replied. A smile filled his face for the first time in over a week.

Ellie smiled warmly. “I’d like that, maybe we can get together during our off hours, when our punishment allows that is.”

Yova smiled with all his teeth as the soberness of life filled his head. Ellie's words of maybe gave him hope and joy.

" Yes please. " Yova said as he eased in to kiss her but then just tapped her hand with his.

" Well I'll let you get to where ever you need to be. "

Ellie nodded, “I’ll give you a call, and that’s a promise!”

Yova smiled and made his way back to the lift heading down joined by others leaving 10 Forward.

Watching Yova go Ellie smiled to herself, one thing was for sure the time they had together was worth the punishment they now both had.
