{Quarters}

After a lazy and late start to their day off, James wanted to surprise Heather with something special. Brunch had been rather delightful but James could tell that Heather was getting restless with being at home.

While they were cleaning up James asked "Sweetheart, whats say we get dressed up later for a night out on the town."

Heather smiled "I'd really like that....it's been awhile....what did you have in mind" she asked.

James walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek "I've booked a Holo-suite for seventeen hundred and have a surprise for you" he replied with a grin "I think you'll enjoy it."

Heather wasn't sure what James was up to but she was sure she would enjoy it "That sounds like fun and you know how I like surprises. Can you give me a hint at least" she said with a coy smile.

James laughed "You and your hints. Ok here's a hint....make sure you wear your dancing shoes" he replied.

Heather was beyond delighted "Oh boy....now you've really peaked my interest....I can't wait" she stated.

Later that afternoon James showered and splashed on some of his favorite aftershave. He grabbed a nice pair of dress pants along with a shirt, a vest, and of course his favorite 'dancing' shoes. He made his way to the couch and picked up a book that he was reading while waiting for Heather.

After her shower Heather knew just what she wanted to wear. Heather grabbed this little black dress with sparkles along with black flats. Looking in the mirror she was quite pleased with the look. A splash of her favorite perfume and she was set to go.

When she walked out into the living room James look up and whistled a long 'cat whistle' "Hey gorgeous....don't you look nice" he stated.

"Thank you kind Sir....you look quite dashing yourself" she replied "Just don't tell my husband" then giggled.

"Your secret is safe with me gorgeous" James said "Shall we."Then two were off.

{Holo Suite}

When they arrived James stated "Computer initiate McTavish zero seven." The doors opened and the two walked inside.

Heather looked around and smiled. Here was this cozy Irish Pub with a bar along with tables and chairs. Everyone was eating and drinking while talking and laughing just having a good time. Off to the right was a dance floor with folks dancing while a band was playing.

James could see the joy on her face "So what do you think" he asked being quite pleased with himself.

"Sweetheart this is perfect.....I can't believe you recreated O'Brians Pub....I used to love that place." Heather said with a big smile then gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Yes I know you did and if memory serves we went there on a date once when we were on leave" he replied.

Looking at James "Oh my gosh...I almost forgot about that....we had such a great time" Heather said feeling a little nostalgic at the moment "Let's find a table."

The couple found a nice table and sat. Soon the waitress came over "Welcome to O'Brians....can I get you something from the bar" she asked.

"Yes we'll have two tankards of ale along with a menu if you please" James replied. The waitress nodded then left. Soon the beer arrived and some menus "Do you need a minute or do know what you want" she asked.

James smiled at Heather knowing just what to order "We'll have an O'Brians Special if you please" "Good choice....I'll be back with it shortly" she replied. So the couple sat and talked while waiting.

Soon this large platter arrived at the table consisting of all kinds of french fried finger foods along with a few sauces for dipping.

Heather looked at James and smiled "I forgot just how much food this platter has....oh well there goes my waistline after eating all this" she said with a giggle

"Don't worry Sweetheart, we can always dance it off later" James replied with a smile "But right now I'm starving....so let's dig in." So the couple began to enjoy things like sausages, baby potatoes, cauliflower, mushrooms, ham sticks, peppers, and a few other things....all french fried to perfection along with some dipping sauces

After awhile most everything on the platter was consumed with the couple sitting while thinking "I can't believe I ate the whole thing". James looked at Heather with a grin "I think we need another ale to wash all this great food down" he said and she agreed.

While they were enjoying another ale Heather commented "James this is so nice being back here; even though we really aren't back at O'Brians."

He smiled at his lovely wife "I thought you might like it" then the music started playing. James stood up and offered Heather his hand "Shall we show them how it's done." Heather nodded then stood and the two walked over to the dance floor.

Taking her in his arms the couple began to dance with her head on his shoulder "Thank you for this...I'm really having a nice time" she said. "Your welcome sweetheart" then gave her a kiss as the two continued to dance.

The couple danced for a couple of hours as the Band was playing one song after the other until they took a break "We'll be back shortly" the leader announced. So the couple went back to their table and sat when James asked "Would you like another drink" he asked.

Heather thought for a moment "No, I'm good....but i think I'm getting tired....would you mind terribly if we called it a night and went back home" she asked.

James just grinned "Sounds like your out of practice....but no I don't mind at all. Besides I have this program on file now so we could come back here from time to time if you'd like" he stated.

Heather smiled at her loving husband "That would be nice once in awhile.....and yes I think I'm all out of practice for sure."

The couple stood and walked out of the Holo-suite as James stated "Computer end program" then they made their way back home.

{Quarters}

When James and Heather arrived back home they went into the bedroom and changed into some comfy clothes then went and sat on the couch.

Heather snuggled up to James as he put his arm around her "Thanks again sweetheart for such a wonderful evening. You never fail to surprise me with something new and different" she said then gave him a kiss.

Looking at Heather "Your welcome my dear....anything to make you happy....and just for the record.....I love surprising you from time to time" he replied then kissed the top of her head.

So the couple sat and relaxed for awhile until James noticed that Heather was fast asleep with her head still on his shoulder. Then he smiled while thinking "I really am the luckiest guy in the Galaxy having such a beautiful and loving women in my life."
