After picking up a couple of items from science Tara headed for the shuttle bay and over to the tarp that covered the commodore's persona; shuttle, after inputting the code the tarp lifted from the shuttle. Tara let out a low whistle as the Klavorian shuttle was revealed. Tapping her com-badge "Lieutenant Kees this is Lieutenant Herculoid please join me in shuttle bay one. I'm going exploring and wonder if you'd like to join me?" Tara input the security code to disarm the shuttle's alarm system and boarded it. Taking a seat in the pilots seat Tara brought the shuttles systems online and ran through the fight check. There was no need to switch over the shuttles language as Tara's minor degree in communications kicked in and she was able to read the Klavorian Language.

“This is Kees, I’ll be right there Lieutenant” No sooner had she been invited then Ellie rushed to join Tara in the shuttle bay. She wasn’t going to miss out on exploring. It didn’t take her long to get ready and she arrived in the shuttle bay buzzing with excitement. “Reporting as invited” she smiled warmly.

"Welcome aboard," Tara greeted "I'm under orders from my boss and the commodore that at the first sign of trouble we high tail it back. Sensor ghosts, a planet half a light year away and the commodore's personal shuttle, what more can we ask for? Ready to see what's out there and what the sensor ghost is?" Tara asked switching on the rest of the shuttle's systems and equipment

“I certainly am” Ellie nodded and smiled. “Whatever it is I’m sure we can manage to find something about it. Let’s just hope it’s not unexpected company.”

"According to the readings the shuttle has weapons and I've charged them," Tara said as she received clearance, lifted off, maneuvered the shuttle to the bay door and out into space. "If we run into unexpected company I'll head back, it's not my shuttle and I don't want to destroy the commodore's shuttle."

“Agreed” Ellie smiled. “I don’t think the Commodore would be very pleased if we got her personal shuttle damaged.”

"I'm recording everything," Tara said as she set course for the planet. "We'll be there in roughly an hour, give me a few minutes to switch the shuttle's systems over to Federation." The whole process took only a matter of minutes, some of the systems remained in the Klavorian language out of respect for the commodore "Okay primary systems are in Federation."

Ellie nodded. “Understood I’ll set sensors to maximum, hopefully it’ll give us some forewarning if we come across anything.”

"Romulans can cloak," Tara reminded her "Not all sensors can pick it up, I know how to adjust things but I'm not going to do that on this shuttle. I brought along a tri-coder we can plug into the shuttle and it won't harm the commodore's craft." Tara opened a small case, removed a tri-coder and in seconds had it plugged into the shuttle's systems and hit record "There we go, you spot anything out of the ordinary let me know. I speak Romulan and can read it."

Elle nodded. “Understood” she sat back in her seat relaxing.

Tara checked the sensors and glanced over at Elle "Are you seeing anything I'm not picking up anything. We're getting close to the planet."

Ellie checked the readings. “Nothing out of the ordinary so far, I’m guessing that’s a good thing?”

"It could be, I'm taking us out of warp and slowing to impulse. Scan the planet, space around it and I'll scan the moon," Tara said "I may take us down to either the planet or the moon and have a look see. Romulan War Birds can land."

Ellie nodded and ran a scan. “Scan of the space around the planet is clear. The planet scan however, is a different matter.” She pointed to the scan. “There’s an area showing that looks obscured in some way.”

"Magnify that distortion, I don't like what your telling me," Tara asked

Calling up the readings Ellie set the sensors to magnify, zooming in as best as she could. “There... see it?”

Tara moved over and studied the reading "It's a cloaked war bird, have we been spotted yet?"

“I don’t think so... at least I hope not!” Ellie looked at Tara concernedly.

"I know several tricks when it comes to avoiding an attack. Fact they've not spotted us works in our favor. I'm wanting to land but I have my orders and that cloaked ship is concerning. I'd love to sabotage it," Tara said with a wicked grin "And I know how."

Ellie looked at Tara in surprise. “Are you serious? Shouldn’t we just head back and report this?”

Tara looked over at her and smiled "I said I'd like to and I know how to. But that does not mean I'm going to. My people and the Romulans have a treaty and if I go sabotage that War Bird it violates the treaty which is an act of war. A war my planet cannot afford. They conquered us once and I don't need a repeat of it. But one thing I do know, that ship is cloaked and on the surface. Remaining cloaked is a drain on their systems."

Ellie nodded. “So we have proof of the fact that they’re there, we should let the ship know.”

"We will," Tara said "I want to make sure there are no other Romulan ships out here first. The commodore will want numbers and in all fairness one ship is no threat to the Amandora."

Ellie nodded. “Agreed, lets do a search and be sure.”

Tara flew as close to the planet's atmosphere as she dared and ran a few more scans. Checking a few more readings Tara banked the shuttle and headed back to the ship. Once there clearance was given and the tractor beams engaged and safely landed the commodore's shuttle. "I'll go give the commodore our findings, you take this PADD to science and go over the data." Tara said handing Ellie the PADD.
