Christina had only recently returned to the Amandora after a short break away to visit relatives. She was looking forward to being back home with her husband, and to that end she made her way to his office to say a quick hello.
Hurd picked up his desk, slamming it into the wall and watched shatter. He turned and punched his computer, putting his fist through it. He went about destroying everything in his office, throwing things and hearing the pieces hit the ground.
Unawares of what was going on inside the office Christina heard the sound of something fall, worried about her husband she entered through his office door. “David!?” At that moment a flying object not intended for her struck her on the forehead. She collapsed unconscious, blood running from a wound that looked worse than it actually was.
A look of pure horror spread across his face as he rushed to his beautiful wife. Wrapping her in his arms, he began crying and shaking yelling, "Christina, please wake up, I'm so damn sorry baby, please, please wake up!!!!".
Slowly Christina stirred opening her eyes, looking up into the eyes of her panicking husband. “D..David..” She paused for a moment before recalling what had happened. With his help she slowly got to her feet, looking for a space that was free of thrown debris she eventually settled in a corner by the wall. “Can you...get me the medical kit?”
Not even waiting for her to finish, Hurd grabbed the Med Kit hanging on his wall. Opening it, he began crying saying, " Oh my god baby, I'm sorry, I'm so damn sorry". He sat and looked at her, tears steaming down his face.
Christina offered a smile even though her head was thumping. “It’s okay David...you didn’t mean to hurt me.” She pulled out a small mirror from her purse, and used it to see her wound as she ran the dermal regerator over it. “What happened? Why were you wrecking your office?”
"Flashbacks of all those I couldn't bring home", he said shaking. " Oh God, what have a done?", he cried.
Christina gently held out her hand taking his. “Nothing! You’ve done nothing! I’m okay now see?” She offered a smile as she picked up a mild analgesic from the med kit and gave herself a shot for her headache. “Now, lets tidy up this office of yours and then we’ll talk this through.”
David just sat there, curled up in a ball crying. Every suppressed memory and emotion had burst fourth, and he couldn't stop shaking and crying.
“David...” Christina gave her husband a comforting hug. “It’ll be alright, you need to talk to the Counsellor. She can help you.”
Crying, he wrapped his arms around her and said, "I will, and I hope so". Burying his face into her shoulder, he continued to cry, long mournful sobs racking his body.
Holding onto her husband Christina offered all the love and support she had to give. They were married for better or worse, and she intended to be there to support her man no matter what.
