Cyndi followed her officers from the briefing room. Tapping her com-badge “Engineering shut down the warp core, we have reason to believe that the anti-matter is what these spiders are after. Fill an antimatter pod to the brim, put it on a warp shuttle, and let me know when you have it ready.” Walking over to where Tara had resumed her seat “I want you to get a probe out, impulse only. Get as close to this ships out there as you can. I want to know where they are from, I want some kind of reading on that web out there and find out where those spiders are from.”

Tara nodded “I’m on it captain,”

Tapping her com-badge again “Captain Porter I want two impulse fighters readied so when the shuttle is launched you can be ready to launch the fighters to escort the impulse shuttle is launched for the rescue you’ll be ready to defend it if needed. Captain Redex let me know when your people are ready. We may need two impulse shuttles. Lieutenant Magnuson your strategic operations, give me some solutions and options. Chief Medical officer get a field kit together and standby for the away team. There may be people injured over there.
