Now that Usher had the Commodore where he wanted her, he checked the time "Hmm....they better hurry with a reply before time runs out or I may have to end the Commodore sooner than expected" he thought to himself.

Soon an incoming transmission lit up his Console....Usher keyed in his security code as the Screen came to life.

Having ordered tactical to signal the enemy, Kahn then positioned herself dead center of the Bridge between the command seats and flight control. Her stance was stern and her shoulders squared. When she looked back the comm officer nodded, so Liza brought her face forward and looked to the screen. "Unknown vessel, you asked for a signal. Visual or audio communication, I don't care. Speak."

Usher stood looking at the face of yet another female who looked stern and cold "This is going to be fun" he thought to himself.

" This is Commander Usher of the Klavorian Old Republican Guard....whom do I have the pleasure of addressing" he replied in a raspy tone wanting to know what type of person he was dealing with.

Liza relaxed her shoulders into a bit of swagger while maintaining her stern stance, her face softening slightly. ~He seems pleasant enough~ She thought to herself ~We'll see which direction this goes~

"I am Commander Liza Kahn, current captain for the Amandora since you abducted my CO." No need to sugar coat. "What is it you need to say, Commander Usher?"

Usher gave Liza an evil grin "Let me explain to you how this is going to go. I going to borrow your CO for awhile....if you try and mount a rescue op...she ends up in a body bag....if try to pursue or disable my Ship....she ends up in a body bag....I think you get the idea" he replied in a cold tone.

"Or," offered Liza. "You return Commodore Song to us and we won't be forced to hunt you down. I can assure you, Commander, the Federation does not negotiate with terrorists. As it stands, if you have an argument with the Commodore, there are official channels to contact the Federation Council and voice your troubles. Resorting to abduction does not put you in a good light."

Usher stood glaring at the Screen "I am not a terrorist, I only want what's rightfully mine. As far as I'm concerned the Federation Council is a joke with a bunch of overpaid idiots making policy that they could care less about" he concluded noticing he was talking with a raised voice. After taking a breathe "That's where I stand on this matter....test my resolve and you won't like the outcome."

Kahn dropped her chin slightly and looked through her eyebrows. "That works both ways, Commander. Test my commitment and you will be obliterated. You continue to threaten my ship and crew, and for what? Personal gain? What has been done that is so horrible that you kidnap Starfleet officers and Federation citizens, risking annihilation for your own ship and crew?" Liza was angry, she did not hide that. But, for the purposes of diplomacy and a peaceful outcome, perhaps she could get him to see reason enough to actually sit down and talk about it. She kept her voice tone even despite the edge it had.

Usher heard what she had just said and laughed "Lieutenant Commander....that's the problem with your type, you see your world through rose colored glasses. Wake up....your precious Federation will turn on you the first chance they get" he stated being rather amused at this point with the conversation, then he continued "The Klavorian Government turned on it's oldest military organization just to satisfy the Federation to jump into bed with them. Many of my fellow Guards lost everything....their jobs....their rank....and for some of us our families. So you see I have nothing to loose.... that makes me a very desperate and dangerous man."

Liza gave a nod and her entire stance changed to more of a swagger as she gave a crooked grin. "I have everything to lose, so my commitment trumps your desperation. You've made your choice, so be it." She turned from the screen. "End transmission." The Tactical officer on duty summarily closed the channel. "Security, locate Nira and escort her to the Bridge. I have some questions for her."

"Aye, Sir." The order was sent along.

Usher was a little surprised by the Lieutenant Commander's abrupt ending to their conversation.....he must have struck a nerve there. He chuckled to himself as he checked with his First Officer "Henry how are we doing" he asked.

"Good, we're underway now Commander....we should be out of their sensor range soon" he replied.

"Ok but steady as she goes....I don't want our position compromised until we get out of here" Usher ordered.

"As you wish Sir" came the reply.

Shortly they were out of the Amandora's reach and on their way to Glintok to gather their forces before moving onto Klavor. And the Princess....Usher had a special surprise for her.
