Mission: Kidnapped
Location: Usher’s Quarters

{ON}

Lia was on her way back to her quarters pausing she stopped at Usher’s door, knowing he was a man hell bent on a mission she knew there was little she could do except provide some comfort. She pressed the door chime and waited for an answer.

Hearing his door Usher got up, after having a brief 'pity party', from his bed and answered the door. When he opened the door Lia was standing there with a smile on her face. He wasn't sure if she was there to secure her promotion or something else but there was only one way to find out "Lia....come in" he said with sort of a smile.

“I figured you’d probably be in need of some company so I thought I’d drop by” Lia offered a smile. “And before you say it, I’m not here to earn a promotion. That’s not how I do things, besides...you took me in, you were the one that convinced me to stay.” She said nothing more, truth be known she actually cared for Usher but she’d figured he was still hung up on his wife.

Usher had to chuckle "You know me too well Lia....I figured you needed a home and a purpose in life....all I did was give you both" he replied being quite pleased that she had dropped by....he could use the company."

Moving his clothes from a nearby chair "Here have a seat....can I get you an Ale or something" Usher asked.

“Something” Lia nodded and smiled. “Surprise me.” She took the offered seat. “What are you going to do with the Princess? Are you seriously willing to kill her?”

Usher smiled as he walked to the replicator. Moments later he came back with Lia's drink "Here you go....it's a Risian Sunset...enjoy" he replied. The drink had several layers of different colors and shimmered....just like Lia's eyes. "No I'm not going to kill her, of course she doesn't know that. No instead I'm going to sell her as a sex slave to a broker I know on Glintok. The Princess should bring a handsome price and I can use the money for more weapons" he stated then smiled at Lia "You know I'm not a total monster even though I come across that way when I need to."

Lia nodded, “I know you’re not a monster” she sipped her drink. “I understand your reasons for doing this, I just wish I had the stomach for it. I’m the weak link in your chain, which doesn’t really bode well for my future promotion does it?”

"Don't be too hard on yourself....it takes time to get used to this type of work....and hopefully it'll be all over soon" he answered.

“Actually I came here because I thought you could use some company.” She paused to sip her drink again. “It gets pretty lonely sleeping by myself...I was hoping you’d ask me to stay.” she let the suggestion linger wondering if Usher would take her up on it.

Usher actually smiled the first time in a long time as he looked into Lia's beautiful eyes; he could use a distraction. He reclined on his bed then grinned "If you come over here I'll give you my answer."

Lia smiled and walked over to the bed, leaning down she spent a moment simply looking into Usher’s eyes before giving him a romantic kiss. She’d waited a long time for this, simply being at his side.

After the kiss was over Usher simply smiled then returned Lia's romantic kiss with much passion. It had been a long time....too long....since he had felt a women's touch and Lia was all woman...her warm, soft skin against his own....her gentle touch...the way her perfume danced in his nostrils in a most delightful manner. Any lingering thought of his previous life quickly evaporated....he meant to enjoy his time with Lia to the fullest and escape the hell that he had created for himself....if only for a little while.

Lia was all too willing to enjoy what was being offered. The floor was soon littered with discarded clothing as she joined Usher for a whole lot more.

~ Some time later ~

Lia lay cuddled up in Usher’s arms, her head resting on his shoulder. “You’ve no idea just how long I’ve wanted to do this.”

He smiled at what Lia had just said "Being so preoccupied with everything, the last thing on my mind was spending a night with a beautiful woman" then he paused for a moment "I guess you should have said something sooner" as he kissed the top of her head. "Maybe when all this is over we could...." then he stopped in mid sentence thinking he shouldn't be planning so far ahead all things considered.

“We could what?” Lia lifted her head and looked at Usher concernedly. “You’re not planning on returning from this, not if it gets you your revenge.” Her smile faded. “You know what you’re right, I left telling you how I feel far too late! We both lost everything, I found what I needed when I fell for you. Why do you think I’ve hung around this long!?”

He could see the concern in her eyes "What I was going to say was after all this is over maybe we could find some little corner in the galaxy where we can have a life together" Usher commented with a smile, then he became quite serious " Look....I certainly don't plan on dying....but I am a realist....and the odds are not in our favor" then he paused "I think I've fallen for you too....I just didn't realize until recently...but I need to stay focused if we're to succeed in this."

Lia nodded the twinkle of tears of happiness in her eyes said it all. “I won’t be a distraction, at least not on duty.” She smiled the biggest smile yet. “I would very much like for us to settle down together, and if it doesn’t happen then I’ll be waiting...nothing is going to keep me away from you now.”

Usher simply smiled back....after all these years of loneliness and hardship he had finally found love once again. He gave Lia a very tender kiss "I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my days with you Lia."
