Post 17 " The Air Assault "

Lt Suvak had stayed at her post for a second shift but she had to consume nourishment. It was here in the 10 Forward that she saw 2nd Lieutenant Murdoch Thirman also there.

" Lieutenant what is the Commander going to do to get the Commodore back?" Thirman asked .

" I am not sure Lieutenant. I was in charge of the bridge when the kidnapping occured." Suvak replied

" My sabre is on standby. We need to launch and find her " Murdoch replied.

" We have new leaders Mr Thirman. Progress works like that." Suvak answered.

"We can't do anything until we know where she's being held at," Alesha said "I want her back too but we don't know where she is."

" Alesha ... it's the Commodore? We are marines we never leave a man behind.' Murdoch replied.

" I will be returning to the helm in a few minutes. Would you like me to speak to the XO and tell him your concerns?" Suvak asked.

" You are a real piece of work Suvak. You don't have any emotions on this at all do you?" Murdock asked back.

" I would be human if I did. On the contrary logic and strategy will avail the Commodores return." Suvak replied.

" Yeah let's just hope it's not in a body bag." Murdoch added.

"I won't leave her behind and I'll do what ever it takes to get her back," Alesha remarked "Even if I have to put my fighter right in the line of fire."

" Alesha you do know we are all on the same team here right?" Murdoch said as he was not happy with her response.

"Yes I know we're all on the same team, I figure if I have to put my fighter in the line of fire it will give everyone else a chance to help free the commodore and bring her back safely. I can be the distraction," Alesha replied.

" I will be leaving now. " Suvak said as she left the two officers.

Murdoch leaned in.
" I know we are on duty and stuff but you do remember we have a thing going on. I would prefer you not get killed."

"I remember and I have no plans on getting killed," Alesha said softly "When this is done you come to my quarters and I'll make you a dinner you won't forget," she winked

" And dessert later?" Murdoch smiled

"I think I can find something suitable," Alesha said "What flavor black or red?"

" On you Red."

Alesha winked "I have that flavor, we get the commodore back and I'll have a good dinner and a desert that will drive you wild,"

Returning to the bridge Lt Suvak resumed her duty at helm and kept an eye on the powers that be .

She was not a clingy person but did prefer the Commodore in the center seat giving the orders.
