{Deck 2 - Quarters}

Heather woke and quietly slid out of bed so as not to wake Jamie then went into the bathroom to dress in her workout clothes for her test with Nix.

Jamie woke up seeing Heather all dressed "Morning sweetheart....is today your workout with Dunjen" he asked as he sat up in bed.

Heather sort of gave him a quick yes answer which concerned him somewhat. "You're not nervous about meeting Nix this morning are you" he inquired still half asleep.

She turned toward her husband "Well maybe a little, it's been a long time since anyone tested me on my abilities" she answered.

Jamie grinned "You know a wise teacher once told me relax, remember your training, and trust your instincts" he stated.

That put a smile on Heather's face hearing Jamie quote her own words back to her as she walked over and gave him a kiss "That's why I love you so much Jamie O'Connell....you always know the right words to say. I better get going I don't want to be late" She stated then turned and left their quarters.

Jamie shouted after her "Good luck" then he scooched back down in bed knowing that Heather would do just fine.

{Deck 11}

When Heather reached the Holo Deck the door was already open so she walked inside greeted by Nix "Good morning Heather, shall we get started and see how good you are" she asked and Heather gave a nod.

"Computer Dunjen two" came the command as two Klingon warriors came right at Heather....a couple of moves and both were dispatched.

Nix was liking what she was seeing already "Computer Dunjen six" as six warriors surrounded Heather. She glanced over her shoulder as one came at her....she kicked him in the groin then back kicked the one behind her in the same area. Then the other four advanced as Heather gave one a throat jab, the second a shot to the mid section just below the lungs, the third an elbow to the nose, and the fourth earned a roundhouse up the side of the head.

Nix was watching the test when Dunjen commented "I don't think I've ever seen anybody move like that before...except maybe you of course. "Thanks you old friend but I'm not sure I can even move that fast" she thought "Heather I think I've seen enough hand to hand. Now let's try a weapon your choice."

Heather thought for a moment "Ok...Computer ninja style sword, three feet long, narrow blade, sharp with a leather wrapped handle" came the request as the sword appeared in front of her. Heather bent down and picked it up and and swished it through the air and it was balanced perfectly.

"Computer Dunjen eight" and Heather knew what that meant as she held the sword at the 'on-guard' position. Suddenly all those Klingons came at her at once as she turned...slashed...turned...stabbed....then repeated the process one more time until all her adversaries were either bleeding excessively or decapitated. Heather was just starting to work up a sweat by the time all this was finished.

Nix smiled "I think I've seen enough, you move very well and with such ease and you handle that weapon as well as anyone I've ever seen" she complimented Heather.

"Thank you Nix, that was fun. So is there anything else you need to see as far as my abilities" Heather inquired.

Nix thought for a moment "I usually don't do this but how would you feel about a little one on one...you and me" she asked knowing that she would use the ancient moves that Dunjen had taught her.

Heather smiled "Sure...bring it" came the reply.

"Computer a one inch thick leather mat six feet square" Nix stated and moments later the mat appeared on the floor as the two ladies stepped onto it on opposite sides.

The two opponents started going at it when Heather realized she had never seen that style before but used a Zendo style to counteract Nix's moves. After about twenty minutes neither lady landed a solid hit on the other as there were moves, counter moves, and counter counter moves.

Finally Nix stopped and bowed at the waist as Heather did the same "Heather you really are very good at this. I must compliment you I have never had anyone counter those type of moves before. Very well done" she commented.

"Thank you Nix that means a lot to me hearing you say that. I must admit you had me going for a few moments with your style of fighting" Heather replied now being a little winded.

"That was Rohan I was using, something that my Symbiont taught me that he used to use" Nix explained with a smile as she heard Dunjen "This women is remarkable and her moves are so fluid. She's a definite keeper".

"Well I've seen all I need to see....I would fight along side you anytime and I don't say that to too many people" Nix commented being quite sincere.

"Thank you and you'll have to teach me this Rohan style some time; it looks very interesting" Heather replied.

"I'd be happy to....but I think we've had enough for one day. Meet me back here in two days time and I'll have you do a couple of covert exercises just to see how well you do and I'll provide the gear for it" Nix instructed.

"Alright I'll be here and I'm curious to see how well I preform also" Heather replied.

The two ladies exited the Holo Deck and each went their separate ways and would meet up again in a few days.
