After closing the meeting with his Security Staff O'Connell wanted to meet with 2nd Lieutenant West to see what his plans were for the Outpost, if any.

Jamie walked into Marine Country as all eyes turned to him "Good afternoon Marines....is your C.O. in his Office" Jamie asked with a smile.

One of the Marines spoke up "Afternoon Commander.....yes the 2nd Lieutenant is in his Office."

Jamie nodded with a smile and walked over to the Office then knocked on the door as Trace looked up "Good afternoon Trace..do you have a few minutes you can spare" he queried.

"Commander," Trace replied, looking up from the dossier of men he was planning to have accompany teams to the surface, "Come in. I suppose we need to talk about the marines integrating into your security teams."

Jamie walked in and grabbed a seat "Ya that probably would be a good idea" he replied with a chuckle "I have some Teams of four ready to accompany each Shuttle that leaves for the Outpost; but we can add Marines and have two security and two Marines instead. I don't want to fill the Shuttles with just Security."

Trace nodded. "Agreed." He said, and then leaned in. "Listen, truth is, I'm looking for my men to learn a little something about policing. Their orders are that your men are in charge. They're there to learn, not direct affairs. That ok with you?"

"Ya, that's fine. Right now I have two teams of four each all set to go, so now we'll have four teams of four with your Marines. That should be more than adequate to cover the Shuttles. Sound good?" Jamie explained "Plus I have my most seasoned men involved in this so they should be able to teach your Marines a few things."

"That sounds perfect." Trace said.

"Great......oh ya, we'll be going with standard Away Team gear plus a phaser rifle, just in case" Jamie replied then added "I can see your busy so I'll let you get back to it and I need to get to the Bridge."

O'Connell left Marine Country to head to the Bridge for his shift at Tactical thinking that went well; although he wondered how things would go once Major Hurd was able to assume command of the Marines again.
