Post Number 13 A Needed Break

Tara walked into sick bay carrying a change of clothes for Kristian, Alesha had chosen to do some fighter training with her pilots and would join them later, that is if Tara can get Kristian out of sick bay and off the ship.

Kristian hearing the doors to sick bay open walked out of her office to see who had come in, seeing her cousin she placed her hands on her hips especially seeing Tara carrying a change of clothes. “What’s this all about?”

“You need a break from sick bay, you have an entire staff and you’ve worked for how many days straight. The major and Thirman are not going anywhere and your people know their jobs,” Tara said handing Kristian the clothes “I’ll give you five minutes to change. Alesha is doing fighter training with her pilots and will join us later. So dear cousin go change.”

“You’re not going to back down are you?” Kristian asked even though she knew her cousin was serious

“Nope,” Tara said simply

“Fine,” Kristian said and headed for her office, closing the door and returned wearing a pair of short, bikini top and a sarong “You’ve got to be kidding.”

“Nope, I have one on too and I want to go swimming, so let’s go,” Tara said

Kristian left word with her staff and followed her cousin to the transporter room and in seconds materliazed on the planet. They stood near one of the many lakes and on the shoreline were several restaurants and a few tiki bars.

Tara kicked off her sandals, pulled off her shorts and walked to the edge of the lake and stuck her foot in. “Come on Kristian the water’s nice, there’s an Island out there, I’ll race you to it.”

"Your asking for it," Kristian said as she shed her sorts and sarong. Walking to the edge of the water she too tested the water "It's warm, you ready to race?"

"Bring it," Tara said.

The two cousins dove into the water and started to swim, they were equally matched and reached the Island together, sitting on the beach it took them a minute to catch their breath.

"That was fun," Tara said

"It was," Kristian agreed leaning back closing her eyes "You set me up but I'm glad

"We needed it," Tara said getting to her feet "Let's swim back and grab a bite to eat and something to drink. Then I want to be a scientist,"

"Sounds good to me," Kristian said getting to her feet and walking into the water and started a gentle swim back.

Once that on the shore they dried off and pulled on their shorts, and headed off to a local eatery to sample some of the native foods. Once they'd eaten the two cousins headed out to do some sight seeing and exploring.
