Having got up early, two hours early to be exact, Resch had seen to duty assignments and reports from the departments. After that he made his way to the main lounge, forward. When the staff and crew were in the mood to do something different then they could use the lounge kitchen and create a buffet-style meal. So, true to his nature, Marcus had come in and spoke to the proprietor about a breakfast buffet. When they agreed with big smiles Resch then removed his tunic and donned an apron, making his way into the kitchen and replicating all the items he would need to whip up a stylish breakfast for all.
With his culinary skill he chopped, sliced, and diced green peppers, tomatoes, onions, added in the eggs, Earth cow milk, shredded Earth cheddar and provolone cheeses, salt and black pepper. The staff on hand for early morning would stop on their way through to gather beverages from the back, marvelling at his sleight of hand and dexterity when using a knife. A large sautee pan was on the fry top and he added a bit of olive oil to it and rolled the pan around to coat the bottom before throwing in the prepped vegetables. With the skill of a practiced chef he would flip the items in the air and back into the pan, then set it down and stir them around a bit with a spatula. The smells of fresh cooking began to permeate the kitchen, and in time, began to drift out to the lounge proper. The bartender could see that some of them out there were sitting with grumbling bellies. Once they were sauteed to his liking he then took up the eggs as he set the pan aside to cool. Several dozen eggs went into a large hotel bowl, which he poured milk into before whipping them diligently to break all the yolks.
Once the eggs were whipped to perfection Resch began to toss in handfuls of cheese, continuing to mix it in until it was all in the bowl. Setting that aside he broke out the individual muffin bowls/pans and lined them up on several cooking sheet pans. Mixing in the veggies next, he then used a measuring cup to scoop out a portion of the mix, making sure to keep stirring as he did so to keep the materials evenly distributed. Each measuring cup full was added to a bowl, one at a time. Once that was accomplished and all the fixings were used up, Marcus moved the sheets into the large oven. There were thirty six bowls which would make thirty six omelette muffins. They would take 35 minutes to cook so, as they were cooking he then shredded more cheddar cheese. Once the muffins came out cooked and solid then those who wished to could add more cheese on top. There would be small plates to place the muffins on. The lounge staff had set up the buffet cart and prepped it with all the sauces and extras. After all the cooking was done and the cart wheeled out with the muffins in a hot zone, they wheeled it out.
Marcus, for his part, cooked a separate bunch for the proprietor and the staff. After which he took up the duty of clean up, making sure to wipe down and sterilize everything. That time went by and as he finished the timer dinged and it was breakfast time. Taking his own plate and pint glass of milk out to the bar, Resch sat down with the staff and chatted as they ate. Everyone else in the lounge were happy to have a cooked, fresh meal, all made by hand. The conversation level was high, matching the spirits of those who had been privy to this little buffet. Others came in, disappointed they had missed the meal even as some among the crowd shared a bit with late-comers. Resch casually took it all in, noting that he had created something he could do more often. He loved to cook, but he loved to cook even more when others were there to appreciate his creations.
