Post Number 63 After Action Report

With the recovery of Kahn,Tore’s body and the rescue of Commander Green reports written and sent to command it was time to check on her fighter to make sure it had not suffered any damage. While Alesha was sure it hadn’t and was fine the lecture from her father still rang in her head. Changing from her flight suit and back into regular uniform Alesha picked up her tri-coder and made her way to the hanger bay. Walking over to her fighter Alesha ran her hands along it’s sleek hull, while not seeing any damage didn’t mean there wasn’t any. Running several scans she nodded, so far so good.

Walking back to side of the craft Alesha tapped the hidden button and the steps appeared. Setting her tri-coder on the wing she climbed aboard, switching on the systems Alesha ran a flight check, after several minutes shut it down fired the maneuvering thursters keeping it on low she moved the fighter out of the way and turned it to face the bay door. Once that was done she shut the fighter down, climbed out, closed the canopy. Palmed the button again causing the steps to disappear. Picking her tri-coder from the wing she headed out. It was time for a shower and a bite to eat.

Alesha returned to her office, dropped off her tri-coder, sent a message to Tara and Kristian asking to meet for supper. Once the message was sent she headed for her quarters, keyed in her access code and entered. Taking off her holster Alesha put her phaser onto the charger and headed for the bathroom, stripping off her clothes as she went. Walking into her bathroom Alesha removed the pins holding her hair and let it fall to her waist. Turning on the shower she stepped in enjoying the hot water as it cascaded over her.

Finishing her shower Alesha stepped out, wrapped her hair in a towel, grabbed another towel and dried off. Walking into her bedroom Alesha changed into a fresh uniform, walking back into her bathroom, towel dried her hair and brushed it, not wanting to pull it up while it was still wet Alesha chose to leave it down for now, grabbing a ponytail holder she pulled it back into a ponytail.

Walking into the living room she heard her computer beep indicating there as a message for her. Taking a seat at her desk Alesha called up the message expecting to find one from Kristian and Tara only to find one from Commander Green, puzzled as to what the XO wanted with her. Opening the message Alesha blinked several times and did a double take. A field promotion to captain and a formal ceremony at a later date. Smiling at the surprise Alesha went to the replicator and replicated the new rank insignia and pinned it to her collar, returning to the computer she found a message from Kristian indicating that they’d love to meet for lunch.

Closing the lap top Alesha headed out to meet her fellow Amazon’s, they’d be the first to find out about her new rank as while her parents needed to know, the ship was still at alert status and there was no need to put it in any further danger. Walking into the kitchen Alesha grabbed her phaser and fresh power pack and headed out to meet Kristian and Tara.
