#84 - End Of Day

Cassandra returned home after a rather busy first day and a lovely dinner with, what she hoped to be, new friends; the O'Connell's. If the rest of the Crew she came in contact with was half as nice as they seemed to be Cass would have no problems with this assignment.

Walking into her bedroom she removed her fresh uniform and hung it up for tomorrow. Being that it was getting late in the day Cass decided to wear something she had discovered while at the Academy...sweat pants and top. Even though she had been used to sleeping in the buff living on Haven, which was much warmer, a Ship seemed to always have a cool air about it and she did enjoy being toasty warm at night. The one thing she hated was getting out of a warm bed naked and having that cold air slapping her pristine body; although she didn't mind sleeping that way when the occasion called for it.

Returning to the living area Cassandra would sit for awhile and read through a few of her books. She would be so involved reading and going from one book to another that after awhile there would be half opened books with her on her chair and also at her feet on the floor. When she was really absorbed in her books small flames would dance around her body and from the open books which happened more often than not; and sometimes a small flame animal could be seen at her feet.

A few hours zipped on by when Cass realized it was getting late so she closed up her books and placed them back on the shelves exactly where they had been taken from.

Walking to her bedroom Cassandra pulled back the covers and hopped into bed and covered up recounting the day's events which put a smile on her face. Tomorrow would start her duties in earnest with plenty of meetings and such.

"Computer lights off" and moments later Cass was enveloped in night and fell fast asleep.
