{Deck 11 - Holo Deck}

Cassandra had woken at zero four hundred and made her way to Holo Deck 5 wanting to perfect her latest project. Arriving she called out "Computer run program Zolon five" and instantly the doors opened then she entered.

Once inside she wanted to perfect her shield incantation to use as not only a defensive weapon but also an offensive one as well. Cass could bring up the shield but it required too many words to initiate; she had to figure out a way to form it in only one or two words.

Thinking on the situation something came to mind. Cass reached out with her left hand while her right arm was moving in a circular motion as her eyes turned to red "Dominos shieldos" quickly a shield of red fire started to form and the faster she moved her right arm the faster the weapon was formed until it was about six feet across. Now she was getting somewhere then she dropped her hands to her side and it disappeared.

This was much better but still required too much time to fashion, so she tried something else. Cass thought "If I combine the words into one maybe that will work quicker." She took a deep breath then put her hands into position "Domishieldos" and instantly the shield of fire was forming in a fraction of the time; this was a good outcome.

Now Cass wanted test out the effectiveness of her perfected creation "Computer deactivate all safety protocols" she stated.

"Deactivating all safety protocols is not recommended" the Computer answered back.

Cassandra let out a sigh "Computer override safety protocols Zolon Alpha, Theta, seven. Delta."

"Safety protocols are now deactivated" came the response.

"Computer initiate Zolon K" she ordered; which was a program with Klingon Warriors coming at her with phasers set to stun. If the shield didn't work as planned and she was hit then the program would self terminate as soon as she was hit the deck and Cass would only be out for a minute or two.

Cassandra took a deep breath "Computer initiate requested program." Within moments three Klingon Warriors were coming at her "Domishieldos" and instantly the weapon was formed as the Klingons began to walk closer and fire their weapons. As they did so the shield protected Cass and also absorbed the pulses until she said "Exitos" and immediately the pulses flew back towards her adversaries taking out each on of them.

The Lieutenant was very pleased with the results as she dropped her hands back down to her sides and the fire shield vanished into thin air as her eyes returned to hazel color.

Cassandra now had another weapon in her arsenal to not only to protect herself but also any of her Crew mates than happened to be with her weather they were on an Away Mission or on the Ship.

Noticing the time Cass would end her session "Computer end all Zolon programs" as she left the Holo Deck to return to her Quarters to get ready for her shift and breakfast.

Today the Lieutenant would start to tour the different Labs and also, hopefully, meet with the C.O.
