Tara after meeting with the new science officer headed to her quarters for a change of clothes, she selected a pale yellow dress that was the traditional attire. Taking a seat at her dresser Tara pulled free the restraits holding her hair, shook her head and brushed it. Getting to her feet Tara headed out, she’d gotten word that one of Alesha’s pilots, Thirman was going to be joining them on Amzock and would be on the West Wind.

Leaving the Amandora Tara made her way to where the West Wind was docked. The two armed guards snapped to attention when they saw Tara walk onto the ship and nodded to her. “Has Alesha and Kristian arrived and a friend of Alesha’s?” Tara asked

“They have,” came the response

“Secure the air lock and close it,” Tara said “I’ll go meet my mum while we prepare to get underway.”

Seeing the nods Tara headed for her mother’s quarters, keying in the access code the door slid open and Tara walked in “Hi mum,”

“Hello Fera,” Rayna said hugging her daughter “Everyone’s aboard we were just waiting for you.”

“I figured as much, I’ve had the air lock secured and had the two guards prepare the ship to get underway,” Tara said

“Take us home daughter,” Rayna said as they left her quarters and headed for the bridge “Kristian and Alesha are in quarters.”

Tara and her mother stepped onto the bridge where Rayna nodded toward the command chair, “She’s all yours,”

“Helm clear all moorings, back us away from the base, when clear of traffic best speed home,” Tara ordered taking a seat while the helm officers hurried to carry out her orders.

Once clear of traffic and the base the ship jumped to warp “We’ll be home in about ten hours present speed,” helm announced “We’re at warp five.”

“Increase speed to warp eight,” Tara said leaning back.

“You are in a hurry to get home,” Rayna commented

“You know it,” Tara answered

"That speed will put us on the planet is about six hours," helm reported

The next six hours flew by and it wasn't long before the blue and green planet of Amzock came into view. The helm officer knew the ship would be landing near the Palace.

Tara stood and walked to stand behind the helm officer as he began the landing sequence to set the ship down. The planet's rings were glowing from the sun.

Rayna walked over and placed her hand on her daughter's waist as the ship descended through the cloud cover and soon set down on the landing platform just outside the Palace. The landed with a slight bump. "Drop the hatch and secure the ship."

Tara walked over to a panel to alert everyone they were on the ground and were free to leave the ship. For Thirman guest rooms were ready in the Palace. Tara and her mother left the ship.

"It's good to be home mum," Tara said

"I'm sure it is," Rayna said "Rest up and join everyone later for dinner in the garden."

"I'm going for a ride, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a leisurely ride on one of my horses. But first I better go change.

With that she ran off to change into something far better suited to go riding in and in no time was on one of her horses as they galloped off. The course they were heading would take them along one of the lakes and soon to the waterfall one of Tara's favorite places to ride.
