Amethyst walked into Sickbay still astounded by the revelation that what Brol had given her had changed her in some way and made her part Brol. She needed answers before she called Will to tell him what was happening to her. She looked around seeing H'iri. "H'iri ... Can we talk?"

H'iri purred and walked around her sniffing and wrapping her tail around her.

" You have newsss! Come, come let's run some tests," H'iri said as she seemed to be aware of something.

"It's not ... What you might think" Amethyst looked at H'iri. "It's Brol, those seeds he/she gave me, they've changed me H'iri and Brol says I'm carrying a child, a hybrid child!"

H'iri hissed..." Eek. Still let ne run,some testss. Lay down and let's take some tests." H'iri replied as the life bed fired up.

" Lay still this will take a few minutes to analyze." H'iri stated.

Amethyst nodded. "I need answers H'iri I have to tell Will."

The images revealed an embryo with natural perimeters. Natural perameters for a two month old.

" Congratulations Mom it is 8 weekss old per these scansss. But all scans show it to be humanoid." H'iri reported.

Amethyst sighed in relief, "Wait 8 weeks? How can I be 2 months pregnant already! Will and I only recently married I'd be a few days maybe 2 or 3 weeks but not months!!"

" Accelerated growth rate beyond humanoid norms. But the child is healthy non the lesss. I will start you on vitamin regiment, You will check in here daily." H'iri added.

Amethyst nodded. “Understood. So given the timeframe this pregnancy will be ...” She paused to think, “Around 10 days?” She looked at H’iri concernedly. “How will my body even keep up with that!?”

" I need you to stay calm. Stress is never good during pregnancy." H'iri urged. She then gave Amethyst a disc with ultrasound and 5 dimensional data about the baby.

" It looks health but one surprise though. A second sac has just formed and appears to be part of the placenta. A root system is emerging and drawing from that sac. You will need to stay hydrated."

Amethyst nodded. “Like a tree, I need to keep fully hydrated to help the baby grow.” She nodded. “H’iri would you call Will? I’d prefer he knows now and you can be on hand to answer any questions.”

Will had just left the Captain and had his own news.

Amethyst was drinking some water as supplied by a nurse when Will arrived in Sickbay. “Will” She offered a nervous smile. “There’s something you need to know.” She looked at H’iri.

" What's up Imzadi? You are very nervous? H'iri what's wrong?" Will asked.

H'iri yowled, " I will let your wife explain. Sir listen to her before you reapond."

" Listen? Listen to what? Amethyst what's wrong?" Will asks again.

"Will I'm pregnant" She looked at him concernedly. "I'm two months and our baby is a hybrid, Part Brol like me."

Will exhaled and paced then reacted uncharacteristically.

" That th....Brol, just entered my mind. It told me what it did. It is all related to that fruit you ate Amethyst. That damn fruit. Now a baby, our baby is part of what ever Brol is.

Amethyst nodded."So am I, I'm sorry Will I didn't know this was going to happen! I'd never have taken that fruit if I did."

Will hugged Amethyst.

" We will face this together Imzadi."

Amethyst breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you Will ... wait a minute, you’re wearing Commander pips! You were promoted!? Congratulations you deserve it!!” She smiled proudly.

"Yeah my surprise."
