O'Connell was almost finished with his workout practicing the moves and maneuvers that Heather had shown him a few days ago. Jamie's goal was not to become the expert that his Wife was but to be able to handle any combat situation that may arise and be dominant. His thoughts went back to the encounter with Brisco so many years ago when he was on the Independence; a situation he was not ready to repeat in this lifetime.

Jamie finished the workout and grabbed his towel then threw it around his neck "Computer end simulation" he called out as the door swooshed open. After wiping the sweat from his forehead he looked up just in time not to walk into Cassandra "Oh...excuse me Lieutenant I didn't see you standing there" he stated with a smile.

"That's quite alright Commander, I probably shouldn't have been standing so close to the door anyway" she replied with a grin.

"And I need to look where I'm going" he replied with a chuckle "By the way Heather told me you are.....how shall I put it....a rather unique individual."

"So she told you I'm a Priestess I take it" Cass responded "I think I really surprised her and Nix the other day" then paused "Perhaps you'd like to watch my session....that is if you have the time."

"Yes she told me and as Second Officer I wouldn't mind seeing this unique skillset of yours" he replied as the two walked into the Holo Deck.

Once inside Cass instructed the Computer to remove the safety protocols which Jamie wasn't too crazy about but decided to keep still and let her do her thing. She turned to Jamie "Please stand behind me for your protection" she instructed then he did as asked not sure what was about to happen.

Lieutenant Zolon turned and smiled "Ready for a demonstration" she queried as Jamie nodded yes, taking a deep breathe Cass extended her arms then began "Domishieldos" and immediately she formed a six foot shield as three angry Klingons came towards them firing their phasers.

Jamie watched being amazed at what Cass was able to accomplish when she commented, after several minutes, "Keep your on the the Klingons" then having said that Cass pushed her arms forward as all the absorbed phaser fire flew back at the Klingons and destroyed everyone of them. Cassandra lowered her arms then the shield of fire vanished into thin air "So what do you think" she asked.

Jamie smiled "I think you are amazing the way you can control fire into a usable weapon.....you are going to be very handy to have around" he stated.

"That's my goal, to serve Star Fleet and this Ship not only with my knowledge of science but also with my abilities as a Priestess....I want to make a difference" Cass explained being very sincere.

"I'm sure situations will arise where your special talents will be an asset to the Ship" Jamie commented "Of course as time goes on more and more of the Crew will know what you are."

"Yes, I know down the road lots of the Crew will know who and what I am which is fine and is to be expected" Cass replied "Also anything that I am working on trying to perfect is done in here....I wouldn't want to set fire to the Ship." as she grinned.

Jamie chuckled "That's probably a smart move.....I don't think the Commodore or Star Fleet would be too happy if the Ship caught on fire" he commented.

"Good point. I'm learning new things all the time so anything I'm experimenting with, like I said, is done in here. Once I have something perfected then I can use it anywhere without any reservations "Cassandra explained seeing the Commander being a little more at ease concerning her abilities.

Realizing the time was flying by the Commander stated "I should be going and get ready for my shift. Thank you for the practical demonstration."

"Anytime Commander, I want Command to have confidence in my abilities and be comfortable with me using them" Cass replied with a smile.

"Well you certainly impressed me that's for sure. Have a nice day Lieutenant" Jamie said then he left for his quarters to get ready for his upcoming shift.

After the Commander left the Holo Deck Cass relaxed a little now that the demonstration was over "That went well" she thought with a grin on her face.
