Post Number 109 Checking On A Moon

Mission:
BUGS OH NO!!
Location: Forbidden Moon
Timeline: Current
ON:
Tara walked onto the landing pads were the shuttles were kept, the moon that was off limits to nearly everyone except for a very few due to the fact it was in early stages of development and the rulers of Amzock wanted to protect it and those who lived there. Tara was one of only five permitted to go to the moon let alone land on it. Walking over to the shuttle reserved for her when on Amzock, Tara keyed in her access codes and when the door opened boarded the shuttle, stopping at a panel on the was and tapping a few commands and the shuttle’s lights came on. Closing the door Tara walked over to the science equipment and switched it on and then took a seat in the cockpit.
After running a flight check switched on the engines, powered up the weapons, brought the cloak online and placed It on standby. Signaling flight control for permission to take off not that she’d be denied but it was regulations. Once permission was given lifted off and headed for the moon. Once clear of the planet Tara engaged the shuttle’s cloak as not to frighten those who lived on the moon. A blind had been constructed so life could be observed without being seen.
After a few minutes Tara piloted the shuttle into the moon’s atmosphere, and kept a high altitude while she flew over one of the many jungles on the moon. Finally spotting the blind she angled the shuttle and set it down in a small clearing that was only visible from the sky and only if you knew where to look. Shutting down the engines and dropping the cloak Tara picked up her equipment and walked from the shuttle and into the blind and activated sensors and recording data so she could see what had been going on with this moon. The blind sat a few meters from one of the settlements.
The villagers had advanced somewhat, they’d discovered fire and had fashioned sharp sticks into spears, nodding at the progression they’d made in a few years was right on target for them. While showing them or leaving things to make their lives easier Tara and her parents had agreed to leave them to advance on their own. Somehow Tara knew if they ever discovered that there was another world away from the moon it would shock them so badly that they’d not understand and could prove to be fatal for them. That is why warning buoys had been set up around the moon and only those with the right codes could get past them any craft not authorized to be there would be fired on.
Tara spent the next three hours watching as the villagers went about their daily routines. Finally shutting down all systems except the sensors so readings could continue to be run, Tara made her way out of the blind and made sure no one had ventured up this high. But then to climb the cliff where the blind was would take a very skilled person and these people were a long long way from that. Should that time come the blind would be dismantled and moved to another location. Walking to her shuttle Tara boarded it, engaged the engines and cloak and lifted off. Heading back to Amzock Tara radioed for permission to land and once granted headed for the landing bay and set the shuttle down. Shutting off the engines and dropping the cloak she gathered her equipment and left the shuttle and headed into the Palace. Her parents would be eager to find out what she’d learned.
