[Amandora]
{Deck 5 - Quarters}
After Cassandra returned from her time in the Holo Deck, and her unexpected demonstration for Commander O'Connell, she realized that this was the first day off that she's had since coming aboard the Amandora.
Cass walked into the bathroom and stripped down to the buff for a nice relaxing shower. When finished she toweled off and dressed in some comfy clothes since she didn't plan on going anywhere else today. She had been so busy these past few days with meetings and introductions along with touring the Labs to meet her Staff that see needed a relaxing day all to herself.
The Lieutenant had begun to feel a little anxious and distracted these last couple of days so perhaps it was some time for some personal time. Feeling this way could, even though it hadn't happened yet, effect her abilities which she would not allow to happen.
Cassandra sat on the couch and relaxed....it was time to enter the Sojon.....a place of meditation and enlightenment where her spiritual body would leave her physical body and travel back in time. Where in time she would end up was up to the Sojon knowing exactly what see needed. Every Priestess who participated in this needed a 'catch phrase', something they were passionate about, to reunite their spiritual and physical bodies. Without such a phrase a Priestess could be stuck in time forever leaving their physical body to perish from the lack of food and water; something that Cass had only heard about but never actually seen first hand....her 'catch phrase' was "helping others" something Cass was very passionate about.
She closed her eyes and began to meditate "Sojon sweep me away and show me what you have for me to see" Cass whispered over and over again.

[Haven]
{Back In Time}
Cassandra was back on Haven and soon realized it was when she was eight years old. Being in the Sojon others would recognize her, by the shimmering of her body, and be able to talk to her through telepathy; the only one not able to see her was her younger self.
She saw High Priestess Helone and walked over to her "High Priestess, how are you, it's so good to see you again" Cass commented "The Sojon swept me away to this time and place."
Helone looked up and smiled recognizing that voice "My child it's so nice to see you again....it's been a some time since we last spoke. I'm well but obviously you're troubled with something....what is it."
Cass began to explain to her beloved Caretaker and Teacher "I've been sent to another Ship as the head of science. I've already made some new friends and have shown those in authority over me who and what I am. It's been a very hectic few days."
"Ah....I see.....so you feel anxious and distracted I take it" Helone responded "So are you keeping up with your studies and practices."
Cass was amazed at her Teacher's reply "How did you know that is how I'm feeling and to answer your question yes I'm keeping up; although not as much as I would like I suppose" she replied.
Helone just nodded "Do you remember this day when you were eight years of age" she queried.
She thought for a moment then a smile came across her face as she remembered "Yes this was the day I had my first major break through on my way to becoming a Priestess.....I created a little animal that sat at my feet."
"That's right....and do you know why that was such an important day for you" Helone asked.
"Yes I had studied so hard trying to create something and was unsuccessful up until that time" then looking at Helone and remembering "You told me that hard work and dedication would payoff eventually" Cass responded with a smile.
"Yes and after that day you worked so much harder and began to excel in everything you did. Matter of fact if you had stayed you probably would have been well on your way to becoming a High Priestess, or at the very least a Mid Priestess by now....but you chose to leave" Helone answered with a certain amount of sadness in her voice.
"I am sorry to make you sad High Priestess but I'm doing so much good in Star Fleet....much more than had I stayed here" she explained.
Then a smile returned to Helone's face "You're a mature adult now and you know what's best for you.....but I do miss you my child and would like nothing better than your return to this place one day" she responded with hope in her voice.
"And perhaps one day I shall" Cass replied then paused "And thank you for showing me what I forgot recently.....that I need to work hard and be focused on my craft."
"You're welcome my child but the Sojon's the reason for your clarity, I'm merely the vessel" Helone reminded her as Cass nodded in agreement.
Moments later the two were swept away to another place as Helone asked "And do you remember this place my child" she queried.
Cass thought for a moment then a smile came across her face "Yes this is where I'd come and play with the other Priestesses in training.....I had forgotten how much fun this was" she replied watching her younger self with the others.
"That's right.....and if you remember correctly I had to just about force you to come and play" Helone commented "And do you remember why?"
"I do.....you told me I had to keep a balance between work and play to become a really good Priestess" Cass replied now realizing why the Sojon had sent her here.
"Yes you must keep the same balance in your life now. A balance between your duties to Star Fleet, your time for study, and also a balance in your personal life" she explained to Cass then continued " And don't be afraid to have some intimate interactions with others.....that will also help you to maintain balance in your life" as a grin came across her face.
Cassandra grinned back "I'll see what I can do in that department" she replied. The Sojon allowed her to remain a little while longer to catch up with her friend, and what amounted to, her parent.
"I sense my time here has come to a close. Thank you High Priestess for your friendship and council" Cass stated as she reached out and touched Helona on the arm.
"You are welcome my child......until we meet again" Helone replied as Cass smiled then turned and left.
There was one more thing that Cassandra needed to do before leaving. She took one more look around at her old home the faced the East as she dropped to one knee and with head bowed "Thank you Sojon for your council, wisdom, and showing me my path forward" she stated then "Helping others."
[Amandora]
{Deck 5- Quarters}
Cassandra's physical and spiritual bodies were reunited once again as she sat up to allow herself time to come back into focus. Standing she went over to her Terminal to check the time. Thinking she hadn't been gone too long, she was quite surprised when she checked "Wow! It's fourteen hundred.....I guess I was away a lot longer than I had imagined" she thought which was not uncommon since the passing of time was much slower in the Sojon.
