Posted on Fri Jan 20th, 2023 @ 1:22am by Lieutenant Tara Herculoid PhD
Mission:
BUGS OH NO!!
Location: MidroaIII
Timeline: Current
ON:
Tara after meeting with the commodore and her husband returned to the shuttle and sent word to Amzock letting them know to send the engineers to her location that after a lengthy conversation with the mayor he’d finally agreed to part of her suggestion for the waterfall. Instructions had been sent not to acknowledge her status from Amzock and it was agreed to. But not without a lengthy conversation for the reason why.
The six hours flew by, the Shooting Star signaled they were in orbit and the lead engineer Zolpt beamed down to her location “Thank you for coming so quickly,” Tara said reverting to her native language.
“Our pleasure, it’s giving us something to do, so where is this waterfall?” Zolpt asked
“This way,” Tara said leading the way “The commodore’s husband has a background in engineering and he’s offered to help as well.”
“That’s not a bad idea, I do have a question. I don’t see a lot of places to stay,” Zolpt said “Where will we be staying?”
“The mayor made it very clear that he does not want any campsites on the planet so my friend you and the rest of the engineers will have to stay aboard the ship when we’re not working on the waterfall,” Tara replied “I don’t make the rules I just have to tell you the bad news.”
They walked and chatted about what the mayor wanted and didn’t want for the waterfall power supply and soon were at the waterfall.
“This will power quite a bit Prin..oops, sorry it’s hard not to call you that. Where is the cave you mentioned?” Zolpt asked
“This way,” Tara said leading the way to where the cave was located at, it was behind the waterfall
“This will work well,” Zolpt commented as he looked around the large cave. “We’ll start tomorrow and with all of us working in shifts we should have it up and running in two weeks.”
“I told the mayor that and he doesn’t think that’s possible but then he doesn’t know you and the rest of the engineers,” Tara said
“We’ll have it done and he’ll be surprised, I’ll return to the ship and discuss this with everyone and the first shift will beam down at sunup,” Zolpt said as he tapped his com and was gone.
Tara grinned as she headed back to the shuttle and to begin to work on the samples she’d collected. The plans for the construction of the waterfall power source had been sent to the Shooting Star.
