Mission:
BUGS OH NO!!
Location: various
Timeline: current
ON:
Governor Dwight Bachman was asleep on the bed of layered blankets he and Rogue had made in the aft section of the runabout USS Euphrates. They had created the makeshift bed in the rear of the small ship after christening the front sections, and they could stretch out better with more room than in the bunks. On his right side facing where Green should be his left arm moved lazily in that direction, seeking the warm body he had so enjoyed pleasing, and being pleased by, over the course of the afternoon and into the evening. His hand searched, moving this way and that but found nothing. He was covered from the waist down by the cover blanket they had used as they had fallen asleep in each other's arms. His eyes opened lazily as they sought to locate what the hand sought, and there was no one there. An empty pillow and bedding. It was quiet in the runabout, sealed off from all the outside noises and enclosed in a carpeted, insulated shell. And, it was dark, not only in the ship but outside as well, as night had fallen. Moonlight streamed in through the aft windows and provided enough illumination for him to see, not counting all the control panels with their own soft glows. One could see out but not in as Ro had set them that way before they decided to play romper room.
Rolling onto his back and looking about, Dwight's eyes found Ro, standing with her back to him, buck naked, as she stared off into the night through the windows. Her left arm was across her chest under her boobs, the other hand rubbing her chin and playing with her mouth area as she seemed lost in thought. So, not wanting to disturb her Dwight lay there and admired the view. She was gorgeous, the moonlight illuminating her skin in an exotic way, the muscles and sinew beneath her flesh perfectly sculpted without any hint of imperfection anywhere. There had to be something behind that but he had not screwed up the courage to ask her yet.
"I know you're awake, you sneak," said Ro, still looking out the window at a distant mountain range, a grin on her face as she knew he was admiring her body. If there was one thing Ro Green loved to do, it was to walk around naked, without the confining clothing she was expected to wear every day. When in her quarters she would dress down to just her knickers or go nude, especially after a shower.
"Oh, and how did you know that?" He asked.
"I could hear your heart beat accelerate, and your breathing change from sleep to wakefulness," she answered.
That piqued his interest. She could HEAR his heart beating? His initial suspicion that there was something more to her was now confirmed. "How in the hell can you hear that? Not the breathing, but the heart rate."
"I am, for lack of a better term, an augment," admitted Ro. She turned from the window and came back to him, going to her knees and crawling in before flipping around to lean back into his chest, placing her bum between his thighs as he leaned back against the solid leg of the table which was attached to the floor so as not to slide. She pulled the covers up to her waist, not concerned about her chest since he had explored that part of her body quite thoroughly and there was nothing left to hide. "It's a long story."
"Tell me," said Dwight, simply.
For whatever reason Ro felt absolutely comfortable with this man. The moment she had seen him on the viewscreen she knew she wanted to get to know him. Then, he had spoken. That just added to the allure, with that glorious smile and the playful, teasing eyes. The same eyes that did not do that for other women, she had noted as she had spent time with him as the day ended, being given the grand tour. Rogue Green told him her tale of how some Reman religious zealots had captured herself and her old CO on the North Star, and they had beaten Ro to death with metal clubs while she hung by her arms from a cable above her head, toes barely touching the ground. Once she had perished they had placed her in a strange pod of their own creation, the intent to make her into some kind of meal for their god they were trying to summon and return to the galaxy. The pod had had a strange affect on her and instead of recreating her as some gourmet godly meal it had rearranged her DNA and cellular structure, making her what she was now. However, anything to do with the Force she left out, not feeling that this was the time to open that particular can of worms.
Dwight wrapped his arms around her from behind, hugging her to him. He could hear in her voice that what she was saying still bothered her to this day. That she had experienced death and rebirth and remembered both events with perfect clarity, and all the pain that both had caused her. For her to reveal so much about herself made him feel so much closer to her, that she would share her painful experiences with him out of trust, even after only knowing each other for a short while. "I am sorry that happened to you, Ro. But, if we are to be honest with each other then you need to know I am not Human, but El-Aurian. I have been in this galaxy for centuries, travelling to and fro and helping people wherever I can. Whenever I can. Build a fortune and then blow it all for the benefit of others. Like this colony. I found them by happenstance and they invited me to be a part of them, a part of the colony. I have watched a generation of children be born and then leave to pursue their lives elsewhere. Sure, I had flings but no one captured my heart enough to settle and have children of my own. So, instead, I chose to lead them when the governorship was being voted on, and put my name in. I have been their governor now through three elections; over a decade. We have prospered and turned this world into a haven of natural beauty and a home."
Green had reached up and squeezed his arms, then as he kept talking she rubbed his forearms with her finger pads, feeling the arm hair under her skin, so soft and pliant. It was wonderful, all of this...all of him. As he had done with her, Ro sat and listened, not interrupting with silly questions and remarks, just letting him speak and keep his thoughts straight. "It is beautiful here. Comfortable. Homey. All of you seem so content and I sense no contempt or corruption among you. That is a rare thing in this galaxy."
"We do have our spats, but it is mainly about work-related things, or sciences arguing about theories. Once they settle down and talk it out they realize that all that negative energy is wasteful." Dwight kissed the back of her head, smelling her hair as he did so, a light fragrance of peaches and lavender in it due to the shampoo she used. It was very slight.
The two of them sat together and talked, with long minutes in-between as they simply sat and enjoyed each other's company.

Warrant Officer Shannon Money stood just behind the forcefield that held back space in shuttle bay two. She had donned her EVA/flight suit, helmet in hand. It was time. She had been itching to get out there in her fighter, and with Amandora now in a pristine system she could log some flight hours in the Viper. Reaching up she tapped her combadge. "Money to Bridge."
A male voice responded. "Resch, here. Go ahead, Warrant."
"Mister Resch, since we're aiding the colony and the ship is locked in orbit, permission to take my fighter out and log some flight time?"
"I don't see why not, Miss Money. Follow small craft protocols and enjoy yourself."
"Thanks, Ensign, I will. Money, out." With a smile she closed the channel, put her helmet on, and within ten minutes time was zooming out of the bay and into open space. The smile on her face was brilliant.
