BUGS OH NO!!
Location: Midora III
Timeline: current
ON:
After sharing their secrets with one another Ro and Dwight had enjoyed another session of ardent lovemaking before they both got comfortable for another few hours of sleep, spooning with Green's back to his front while on their sides. Upon awakening they both got up and showered together, with the small shower on the runabout perfect for soapy intimacy before actually using it to clean themselves and then step out and get dressed. The clothes had been put through the refresher and were as clean as they were, and both donned their respective outfits.
What Rogue did not say, just yet, was that she had conceived. She had allowed her body, through the Force, to make itself vulnerable to biology on purpose. She had found the one man in the galaxy she wanted to breed with, wanted to be with, for the rest of her days. And, given her physiology and his, they would be together for many, many years to come. Green was 54 now, according to her personnel file and her date of birth. But, due to her unique physiology she was super healthy and looked to be right around 30 years of age, and had maintained that look for over 4 years now. She had a lot more years to go before age would begin to affect her in any way, similar in all respects to the Augments such as Khan Singh and his ilk.
Leaving the runabout the two of them walked with hands held, over to a small cafe, entering the establishment. Ro's belly began to grumble the moment she stepped inside and could smell the wonderous odors of sizzling bacon, various breads being baked, and the sausage being either baked or fried. "Ahhhh, it smells wonderful!"
Dwight chuckled as he looked over at her, giving a big smile and a wink. "Told ya. These folks are the best at breakfast. Pick a world or culture and they may be able to wrangle something up. But, their best is good ole Earth cooking, and breakfast is a specialty every day."
A couple who looked to be in their 40's, and of Latino descent, approached them, both with smiles on their faces and wearing aprons that were speckled with bits of prepped food they had just finished making for the next hour's arrivals. "Dwight! Good to see you, man." The gentleman shook hands with Bachman.
Dwight, always the perfect host, let go of Green's hand to return the handshake. He motioned over. "Ro, these are two of my dearest friends. Ronaldo Alvarez and his brilliant wife Maria. Ron, Maria, this is Commander Rogue Green, the Executive Officer for the USS Amandora, and my special guest while she is among us."
The two shook hands with Green, the man speaking up first. "Call me Ron. Special guest, eh?" He gave Dwight a sidelong look, then back to Ro. "We can tell you some stories..."
"Stop it," said Maria, stepping in with pseudo-frustration and a smile, saving Ro from the 'terrible men' moment. "Don't listen to them. Any friend of Dwight's is a friend of ours. Please, let's get you two settled." She led the way over to a small table for four and all of them sat down around it. One couple next to each other, as with the other. The cafe staff were cooking away in the back and people began to show up and take up the other tables.
"It's a pleasure to meet you both," said Green. "My name is Rogue, but I go by Ro. Do you happen to have a real cup of coffee, not replicated?"
As she asked that question a server came over with four large mugs of coffee, setting the tray down on the edge of the table and placing a mug before each of them.
Maria gave a cheeky grin. "Yes, I think we do. Enjoy," she said with a giggle.
"Colombian," said Ron, taking up his mug to blow on the steaming surface before sipping.
All of them blew on their respective beverage, sipping a few times before conversation resumed. They talked about a great many things and even after the food was delivered both Ron and Maria stayed and enjoyed more social time. Ro was spoken to and included as if she had been here for years; one of them. It made her feel good right to the core of her being. The Force was relaxed and she could sense all the happiness from this place, this colony. Good people filled with love, caring, understanding and positive morality. If she were to call a place home, this was it. She knew that from now on this was where she would come back to every time she had leave. Subconsciously she kept laying her hand over her belly/abdomen area, seeming to be sitting politely with one hand off the table as she ate, but it was to feel the life...no. To feel the lives within her. Twins, the Force telling her so as she used her Control to examine her own internal body. She masked her grin of joy by using it within the conversation around them. Dwight would be told but she wanted to do so in privacy first, to gauge his reaction before letting his fellow colonists know. He may not even want children.
After breakfast, and saying goodbye with hugs and warmth, Ro and Dwight left the cafe and headed back to the Euphrates. He said he had something to show her, something she would absolutely love, but they needed to either fly or go by transporter. Green would prefer to fly her mobile home to wherever he wanted to go and he was all for it. Boarding the runabout and lifting off, they headed south towards the equatorial regions of the planet. Knowing Dwight, she thought, this was going to be something amazing.
