Post Number 16 Prepping The Medical Shuttle

Kristian after the briefing walked into sick bay and over to her nurse Glenda “I need to talk to you,” Kristian said

“Of course doctor,” Glenda responded following Kristian into her office “Is there a problem?”

“No problem at all, I’ve reviewed your file and it show me that you’re a certified shuttle pilot,” Kristian said

“I am,” Glenda replied. Kristian explained the current orders and when she finished Glenda had a puzzled look on he face “You mean three star ships and a star base all empty? That’s a mystery, but where do I fit in at?”

“I’m going to need you to pilot the medical shuttle should we find anything on any of the deserted ships or base. My goal will be that if the base is deemed safe then you and I will prep it and get it ready just in case we need it. If things are not safe and we find anyone that needs treatment then you’re going to be the one to bring the shuttle back to the Amandora while I treat the patient,” Kristian said “Let’s prep the shuttle, flight check it and launch and wait for further orders.”

“I’m ready when you are. Will we be armed?” Glenda asked already knowing the answer

Kristian nodded “We will be, phasers are already on the shuttle as well as extra power packs. Let’s go prep it,”

Kristian and Glenda hurried to the shuttle bay and spent the next hour prepping the medical shuttle. Once the shuttle was prepped Kristian took the pilots seat while Glenda closed the hatch and joined Kristian. The flight check was run, looking over at Glenda “Ready?” Kristian asked

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” Glenda responded as she signaled the bridge for permission to launch “We’re cleared to launch.” She reported a few seconds later

Kristian fired the shuttle’s engines, lifted off and flew out into space and flew a short distance from the Amandora and positioned the shuttle between the ship and the base “Now we wait for reports from the fighters and the boarding parties.”
