After the meeting adjourned, Green left the Command Deck, immediately heading down to shuttlebay 2, where the singular runabout USS Euphrates was housed. Opening the craft she stepped aboard and sat in the pilot's seat, going through pre-flight. She felt, and heard, a presence approaching the outside of the ship so she spun to face the port hatch, which was the open one. "I smell you, hear you, and feel your breath," stated Green, her tone still holding a bit of cynicism.
Kirk stepped into the open hatchway to be seen. "Need a co-pilot?"
"No thank you, Lieutenant," said Green, going back to ship prep. "Once this situation is resolved there are things we need to discuss." She paused her prep and looked back over her shoulder. "Many things."
"Alright, Commander," said Kirk. "Until that time, where do I post up?"
"The Bridge, at Helm," said Green, now back to speaking while readying her ship. "You are flight control chief only, with restricted access to information. You are not my Kirk, you're someone else. Being from the Mirror Universe, we can't know what your motives are here so, we reduced your input and access. Now," said Ro, keeping Kirk from going into any kind of lengthy explanation. "Get to the Bridge and do your duty, Lieutenant. This will all be discussed later. Right now you cannot be foremost on my mind. Dismissed."
Hating to have to do that that way, Green watched Kirk's shoulder's slump as the junior officer turned and walked away. What was worse is Green could not discern whether the slumped shoulders were from shame of who she was, or shame for getting caught at it. Her instincts were telling her that this Kirk was upset with herself for not selling the gimmick harder than she had. Ro could not worry about that now. With the runabout ready for liftoff Green awaited the arrival of Herculoid.
