Narla left sick bay after surprising her daughter and headed for the main science lab. Tara was next for a surprise visit. Narla loved her family, and it had been some time since she’d seen Kristian, Tara and Alesha. When Cyndi had contacted her about promoting Major Hurd to Lieutenant Colonel and Second Officer Narla had approved the commodore’s request.

Narla walked into the main science lab and after speaking to one of the officers in science and finding out her niece was in her office headed to Tara’s office. Looking in Narla saw Tara seated at her desk working on a report. Tapping the door as it was locked open.

Hearing a knock on her office door Tara looked up from her report, seeing her aunt jumped up from her desk “Aunt Narla!” Tara exclaimed “What are you doing here?”

Narla walked into Tara’s office and hugged her and reverted to the Amazon language as she filled her in on why she was aboard the Amandora.

“The major’s a good man,” Tara commented

Narla nodded “His record speaks for it. Kristian filled me in some on your away mission. Have you looked at the language and markings on the pods?”

Tara shook her head “I’m letting Kristian run the data base, I don’t want to be considered a know it all.”

“Tara what’s wrong?” Narla asked “You forget how well I know my favorite niece.”

“I’m your only niece,” Tara reminded her as she filled her aunt in on a few things, “So now you see I’m content to let the computer’s data base run things for now. And if that one pod does indeed hold a Princess or a member of the royal family it’s going to be very interesting.”

Narla nodded “It will at that, you and the commodore hold that same title even though Star Fleet does not permit that kind of titles as long as we’re active.”

“Now you see the problem,” Tara said “When she wakes up the commodore and Commander Green will have their hands full.”

“That will prove very interesting,” Narla replied “Alesha, Kristian and I are going to have a bite to eat later in Kristian’s quarters when her shift is over and if the sleepers are still out. You are going to join us”

Tara smiled at her aunt “I never could tell you no and it’s been a long time since we were all together. Too bad Uncle Richard, Alesha’s folks and my parents won’t be here.”

“I know, but we are a long way from Amzock and having both of your parents off the planet at the same time is not a good idea. I’ll leave you to finish your report and we’ll see you in a few hours,” Narla said getting to her feet and headed out leaving Tara to her paper work.
