Cyndi getting the message that Lieutenant McKeon had returned was thrilled to have her Intel Officer back, tapping her com-badge "Lieutenant McKeon please report to my ready room"

Alister glanced up as he heard the call, “On my way.” Making his way up the ready room he pushed the admittance chime before entering as the door opened, “You wanted to see me,” he asked sliding into one of the chairs facing her desk.

Cyndi nodded "I did, I saw where you'd returned and wanted to say welcome home. Any questions on our current mission?"

“Good to be back,” Alister said, “I’m surprised to find a sleeper ship out here. If what one of the chiefs told me one group is unknown but the second is Cardassian? I would think they could spare a warp capable ship or two for transportation.”

"From what we understand the species is new and not Federation. Lieutenant Herculoid was able to figure out the language and markings on the sleeper pods. One pod contains Royalty," Cyndi commented.

“If they are that important to a local population even more curious that a warp capable ship wasn’t used as a transport.” Alister said leaning back, “It would have been a symbol of the technological advances of the Cardassian Union. Also any idea of why the ship was just found out here dead in space. I would think that any issues would have seen crew woken from deep sleep to fix any issues that arose?”

"Herculoid reported it was going in circles, an away team was sent over and it was discovered sabotage. One was found dead and two were dead in the pods. They're in sick bay where Doctor Long is examining them. The bodies are in the morgue," Cyndi said.

“How did the sabotage happen,” Alister asked his eyes narrowing slightly, “Explosive, computer, or just the old fashion breaking of parts?”

"We don't know, Lieutenant Montgomery is new to the ship, he's the chief of operations he'd be the one to ask as I don't have all the reports in yet," Cyndi said.

Alister gave a slight nod, “That could tell us a lot or what happened or possibly who did it.”

"And to why, according to Tara, there is a Princess and from what Tara was able to determine this Princess is on her way to Cardassia to marry a Cardassian in hopes the union will prevent a war," Cyndi said.

Alister raised an eyebrow, “Stopping a war? I thought the Cardassians were out of the aggressive expansion phase after Bajor. You can dominate space but on the ground a slug thrower will kill just as well as an energy weapon if the population is motivated enough.” He tapped his chin, “I hadn’t thought the Cardassians had rebuilt enough to carry out an occupation that a war would bring.”

"That was my thought as well. I'm waiting on Doctor Long to let me know when the rest of the sleepers are awake. There are Cardassian's among them. Once the Cardassian's have woken up we'll know more. I do know this Princess is going to prove difficult. Your well aware that myself and Herculoid are royalty yet we don't speak of it. Nor will we," Cyndi commented "You are Intel, dig into your sources and see if you can find anything on this matter,"

“I’ll see what I can dig up,” Alister said with a nod, “I don’t have any Cardassians contacts of my own, but a few people owe me a favor that should have one or might have info on their own. Last I heard Klingon Intelligence was still keeping an eye on the Cardassians and the Romulans still blame them for the losses suffered by the Tal Shir before the Dominion War.”

"I know very little about the Cardassians so anything you can fine out will be a help. My home world was not part of the Federation during the Dominion War. We were admitted several years later," Cyndi commented "I have us at warp one, we're heading for Cardassia and I don't want to get there too quickly until I have more details as to why this wedding and and all of the sleepers have been woken up."

“Not a bad idea,” Alister said, “Let’s just say the Cardassian Union didn’t make many friends with the other major players for kicking off and siding with the Dominion. Even their change of sides at the end can’t erase all the bad blood. I’ll check in with a few people and get back to you hopefully in a couple of hours with at least a general idea of what is going on with the Cardassians.”

"Keep me posted, there are Cardassians aboard in the sleeper pods. Hopefully by the time you have your information they'll have woken up. The Princess is awake and is not happy," Cyndi said.

“I’ll let you know, hopefully I can get some pictures of the Cardassians, maybe even get an ID on them.” Alister said standing up, “Might give us a clue as to what they’re planning.”

"Speak with Doctors Long and Shelya," Cyndi replied. "I'm not sure how far we are from Cardassia and I'd like the answers before we get there."

“If they’re out there I’ll find them,” Alister replied standing up, “Looks like I’ve got a few people to talk to and a few calls to make.”
